NHL blunder of the decade

Postby King » Fri Apr 16, 2004 9:56 pm

I'm a sports fan... a huge St. Louis sports fan... no matter what sport. Hell i even love the St. Louis Aces... the pro tennis team that plays here in the summer. (joke) at any rate, my Blues lost yesterday to the San Jose Sharks... well, as it turns out, that wasn't the worst thing that could happen to a proffesional sports team.

Now i know Leonard Little killed a lady while driving drunk... Darryl Porter the MVP of the !982 World Series was a Cokehead who subsequently died of an overdose... but imagine, a guy you play hockey with, forget that a coworker getting arrested for wanting to have his "aquaintence" killed... read this link.

Sorry Tommy, but the Sens aren't winning this series. Belfour is the hot goalie right now and Ottawa can't seem to get good scoring chances. Any time you don't score a goal in 3 of the 5 games.....well, that's a bad sign.

I'm rooting for Ottawa, too (living in Buffalo, those Maple Leaf fans sure drive us crazy), but I just don't see it happening.

Hey King its all cool to be a hockey fan but its worse in the NFL. I am by no means a Panther fan but remember what happened with that jerkoff Rae Carruth?

Then there is Ray Lewis' "innocence" in that Atlanta shooting and Jamal Lewis facing federal charges for drug distribution. Hard to be a football fan with guys like these around.

Hell Bertuzzi may be an asshole but at least he did his shit while actually playing the game.

Of course it could be worse. you could be an NBA fan. (which thank god I am not) and deal with shitheads like Mr. "I didn't know it was loaded and would kill my chaffuer"
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." ... Benjamin Franklin

Not a huge hockey fan, but am saddened that the blues lost...

I was hoping they could make it to the cup for once, but our plans were foiled again :(

I live in Chesterfield, work in Brentwood oddly enough, where Danton used to live. I'm finishing up my bachelors at Webster U starting this fall... so i'll be living on or near campus.

What about you?
