Back to the Battlefield....

Postby Mr. Slayer » Wed Jun 02, 2004 4:01 pm

So about a week ago I'm sittin here browsing the forums when I start to smell something...you know the smell of burning computer equipment...at first I think that it must be my video card which is, needless to say, highly overclocked. So I get the case open and examine the card and there is nothing wrong at all. I look at everything else inside and even take all the time to remove the mobo and examine the processor that isn't even overclocked. When I find that nothing is wrong with my PC I re-assembled it and went on to find the source of the smell.

After searching all around the room I discover that of all things my modem is what is putting off the smell. Ok I didn't find that out by the smell I found that out by the sound of popping inside the modem. So then I am left with no internet....well except for :eek:dial-up:eek:

But I have just recieved my replacement in the mail along with a long apologly letter from my cable company that explains that I will receive 2 months of internet service with no charge.

So now I look forward to fraggin with all you smackers once again and spamming the forums. (Though I don't think I'm as bad as some...cough...Buli***...cough

Hmm so are you saying if i break my cable modem every 2 months i'll have free internet service for the rest of my life? I know a friend who got 2 years of AOL service for free, because he ordered it for 3 months and then when he went to quit, AOL said why don't you try a month free on us then?He replied alright and he called them at the end of every month and got another month of free internet for 2 years.

LOL!! Thats great...yeah I have dealt with those AOL idiots on the phone before and its almost funny how stupid they are! But I always have trouble understanding them because the techs are mostly forgein....

But even if I could get it for free I wouldn't take it...hell they should pay me to use their internet service. Or maybe like for every second it takes for a page to load I get a dollar or something...
