Thinking about starting a band!

Postby Jeffro » Thu Jun 03, 2004 12:26 pm

So far I have a guitar player, drums, and keyboard (me).

Does anybody have any ideas on what our name should be or the genre of music we should play?

sample of my pink floyd cover of "The great gig in the sky".

first pick your type of music and then pick your band name.

for type of music, I prefer hard rock/heavy metal with heavy blues and punk influences. Bands that I like usually have really catchy guitar licks, and solos are a must. Some of my favorite bands right now are Rage Against the Machine/audioslave, Clutch, and Tool

Instead of "Hall and Oates" try "Haulin' Ass"

How about Jeffro Tull, Is that a Pick in Your Jeffro or are you just glad to see me?, Jeffro Fever, South of Jeffro, Jeffro Patrol, Jeffro-line, Little Miss Jeffro, Jeffro Pulls My Finger, or Jeffro Jam and PB?

I am there for you man...

um...ok:roll: I was just giving some input. I dont like pure punk or pop punk. I was just saying that a lot of the bands that I do like have some strong influences from old school punk... there is a difference.

I really like Punk music, but I hate all those pop punk bands, they all sing about nothing.

But like someone said, Jeffro doesnt seem punk, more like rock. That's what you should play if it's what you like. And if you like more than one style, make a various styles band.
