Wake on EA Server

Ok, you probably all are thinking that this is just another lame "complaining about how bad EA servers are" post.
Well I guess it is... I was playing Wake Island on an EA server a couple nights ago when an RTR map came on #1.

I'm just going to get straight to the point.. When the map started I was playing Axis and A guy gets in the Destroyer. He drives it around the entire map and then is nice enough to beach it right of the SW tip of the island. But no he wasn't finished. He then spawned on the carrier and drove it all around the map and then used it to plow the destroyer way up onto the beach. But no he had one more deed to accomplish... the carrier had survived it's last challenge so he drove it off the map. This, of course, led to the axis losing by a ticket bleed early in the game. Ill post the pic after this post.

But ok I knew it was trouble going into one of those servers but there was no where else to go. But thanks ECGN for the great server and admins who keep it great! :beer:

I've neverplayed the game but that kinda stuff looks to be purely lame.

you've never played the game?! what's wrong with you boy? Put that 9700pro to use! this game rocks

Slayer, i hear what you're saying. a ton of servers out there are unadmined, and have raging idiots who beach ships, teamkill, switch teams just to teamkill, chat spam, camp, blah blah.

I might be able top get it next month. Or if I get a new job this month.

Which expansions are best? I've seen I think 3 or 4.

I don't even have any expansions so when an RTR map comes on #1 it's bye bye Slayer along with half the server...

I think Mods are a lot better though.. DC FH 1918 are my favorites.. most of them are crap though.

Slayer...have you visited our dedicated FH server "Glory of War" yet? If not, check the forums out at http://www.misfitgaming.com It's a bunch of ECGN regs that set it up for a little change of pace.

right now we only run vanilla and road to rome. if possible see if you can find the set of all the games in one you might save some money, secret weapons was a disapointment IMOand we don't run it currently since the population drops so much

I wish they did put SW in the server. It puts variety in the game and makes it fresh!

Some day we should do a RTR/SW only server...that would be great!

And slayer...get off of your ass and buy the expansions!

I love the SW maps, especially Eagles Nest.

I love the SW and RTR maps too...in case you were wondering.

I am sure that you can all sleep better at night knowing this now.

But add my name to the list that likes the SW and RTR maps in the ECGN rotation. You can always take out Coral Sea to make room if you have to!

you should see them trying to run the carrier out of bounds... It happens all the time under my nose. It's then a matter of who's faster, me Alt-tabbing and starting my RM, Alt Tabbing back and take over their position, or them to run it out of bounds/beach it.

They usually win

Really sucks when they do it. If you play on a Wake-only server like we do, that really makes you go apechit.

Oh R2R isn't where I'm bailing out, Coral Sea, that's the point where I'm bailing out.

no, when SW comes out, the population drops. RTR still holds people.

Yeah...we had at least 50 people on husky last night. I wish that more people would play SW, however.

Yes, Bossman I know about your server. I have trouble getting it to show up on the In-Game browser. I've only played on it maybe 3 times. But I will stop by your forums soon. I'm just too lazy to do anything anymore.

But GoW is definatley where I'll be when Omaha comes on and this time I'm not Allied!

I am not buying any expansions until I get a new damn video card

. Mine is about shot and sounds like a damn vaccum cleaner. But you know how it is when it still works, lol.
