Admin conduct

Since there doesn't seem to be a special forum for this sort of topic anymore, I'm posting here. Please feel free to move my post to a more appropriate forum if I am mistaken. I feel this is an important enough matter to bring to the attention of not only the admins, but of all the players, and to perhaps find out if I am the only one who has witnessed this sort of vindictive and petty nonsense.
I have a serious concern regarding the behavior of a certain admin on Server #1. He has acted in what can only be called an extremely childish manner and rather blatanlty abused his admin privelages. I'm quite surprised that an ECG Server #1 admin would dare this sort of thing. I used to think it was the best server in the game.. I do not know what sort of rules admins must abide by, but I'm pretty sure this individual broke at least one pretty badly, and for the most petty and selfish of reasons. To say I'm angry would be a terrific understatement. I nearly turned my back on the server over this, but I reminded myself that every OTHER Server 1 admin seems to be very dedicated, conscientious, and does their job well. I will recount the events as precisely as I am able, with only facts, not guesses, estimations or ranting. Here goes...
7:14pm on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, I log on to the ECG Server #1, which I have been playing on often over the last month. The map was Essen, and I was assigned the allied team. I chose a spawn point at the home base, as nearly all the other allies were spawning in the town at two captured flags. The factory was not captured. One Spitfire plane was available at the home base, and no allied troop was near it on my map.
I boarded the plane without incident and took off, gaining max altitude as fast as possible to avoid those hideous Axis AA guns. I aimed straight for the factory and pulled over into a nose dive. I strafed the bridge and dropped a bomb between two Axis tanks, destroying neither. I pulled up hard to gain altitude again. I made another pass and strafed the ground near the factory flag. I killed a teammate by accident. I immediately typed 'Sorry sir!!!' in team chat to let the teammate know it WAS an accident. It was the only kill I had at this point, and my score was -2. Not a good start, but embarrassingly enough, not my worst.
I now glance at the map and see that the factory is in allied hands and switch over to targeting the south balcony spawn, which is in Axis hands. I strafe the alley, killing at least one enemy soldier and pull up for another pass when I see this message in team chat...
LUNATIC YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO FLY TAKE A BREAK!
The speaker was one "Fargin Mofo", and was labeled as admin. I was then immediately kicked and BANNED. The ban was still in effect when I tried to log back in 20 minutes later.
I have NEVER been kicked or banned from any server EVER, and have been playing the game online since two weeks after its release. I have NEVER intentionally TK'ed on an ECG server. The only intentional TK's I've ever committed (on a different server) were revenge-based, and I soon realized how pointless that sort of vigilante justice is. In fact, I was very, very glad to find ECG Server 1 because deliberate TK'ers last about as long there as a snowflake in a bonfire. I have been most happy playing on this server until tonight.
I do not expect miracles or instant vindication from this post. I do not even know if I will be allowed back on Server 1. But I do know what is fair and what is not. I have found most admins to be impartial, fair, and intelligent. Fargin Mofo's actions tonight (as well as his preschooler name) lead me to believe that he is none of the above.
I had one TK against me. I had just joined the current game. I had just gotten an enemy kill and was halfway to positive numbers. I was ranted at in chat and banned. I do not know the name of the teammate I accidentally killed, but I'm willing to bet a great deal that it was Fargin, and he took advantage of his position to indulge in some rather nasty and inappropriate payback.
These are the absolute facts, and anyone who contradicts anything I have written will be lying. I took great care to very carefully remember the events so that I would be accurate. I will gladly answer any pertinent questions regarding this situation, and will absolutely not become involved in any sort of flame war.
This admin was wrong, period. And though folks always make mistakes, this wasn't one. It was a very deliberate and childish tantrum thrown by someone who is SUPPOSED to prevent them. I will not presume to suggest any consequences for this admin, nor do I expect to hear of any that might be given. That is not my intent. My intent is to let folks KNOW. Problems can't be fixed if those able to fix don't know about them.
By the way, I have copied this post, and will gladly email or repost if necessary. Sorry if it got a bit long. I really did try to keep it straight to the point.

I was there, and even called the admin to your flying skills.
You took numerous bombing runs, hitting from the bridge to the flag, over and over. It was our flag the whole time, and it was populated with NUMEROUS allies. Even if it was greyed, there was so many allies, it would be stupid to try a bombing run for the one axis holding it grey.
You are VERY lucky you got 1 TK during those runs. Tanks were near blown up.
Witht he repeated runs, I coudl only figure you were a smacktard, as anyone else woudl ahve at least looked at their map to see the tank and infantry were BLUE, not RED, meaning same team.

Hm, so getting one accidental TK is a bannable offense? And the base was NOT in allied hands when I made the first run. It switched hands while I was strafing the second time. Hard to check the map constantly in a plane sometimes. Don't think I'm the only one to make mistakes. It was an accident, and a power tripping admin got his sphincter in a knot over it. Check the logs for my apology after the TK. Seems the admin made a 'mistake' too. But his 'little boo boo' didn't cost him a ban. No, not buying that defense.
Even if I were suffering from temporary brain death and didn't notice the base changed hands, all it would have taken was a kick or even a yell in team chat. But no, Captain Colon Crawler decides to ban first and ask no questions later. Not cool.

What you think, and what was, are two different things. like I said, even if there was one axis holding it grey, the factory was FILLED with allies, so going on bombing runs was stupid.
I even called for an admins attention on you before you got that TK, because it was going to happen with you constantly bombing your own team.

Sorry, Loonatic, most people that post here have want to be or are admins. You will not get much support. Just try to PM one of the admins, although they will begin to ignore it.

Let's call the admins immature while we call them names such as "Captain Colon Crawler" and saying that they are taking "Power trips" even after you were simply being a smacker. JimmyTango has provided evidence - you didn't check your map. Any decent player know to check their map so they don't go damaging friendly tanks, killing infantry, and basic smacktard behavior. I suggest you calm down. I doubt the ban is permanent - maybe you deserve to ride the ban out. Personally, I wouldn't want to play with you on ECGN #1. After your words here, I'd say forget that...

*sigh* All I'm seeing is total denial, which leaves no room for any sort of discussion. Sorry you felt I needed banning Jimmy. Guess you'll be happy that I won't be back. I hope you enjoy the server, and I hope that you don't make any mistakes or TK ever again. Hate to see you get banned too.

And if I heard a teammate shrieking like a stuck pig about a massive TK'er, I'd have probably done the same thing Fargin did...if I were really powertripping or stupid.

First, when making pleas to admins, calling them names won't help your case, at all. Second, your name is a derivation of lunatic, so we could assume you'rre delusional...or lieing. Third, calling admins who can unban you names is bad! Fourth, yeah the names thing again.
There have been few cases where a brief explanation, an apology, and a sincere attempt to NOT repeat the offense hasn't gotten a ban removed.

Your name was brought to my attention by Tango and a few others on teamspeak. I was at the factory which by the way was ours. I left my position and ran over to the bridge where at least one of OUR tanks was. The factory was CLEARLY ours. All the armor in the area was ours.
Here we are trying to defend the flag and along comes a spitfire dropping its load on our tank sitting on the bridge. I can't recall if you destroyed it but you did get at least 1 TK for it (not me btw). From where I was standing it looked intentional, taking into consideration that your name had already been called out for bombing your own base. So I banned you for TKing, destroying your own vehicles, and for being , at the minimum, careless.
A lot of good players frequent this server day in and day out and don't take kindly to being bombed by their own teammates and TKed. I banned you for one day. It expires tomorrow evening. At that time your welcome to come back. If you still have trouble getting on afterwards then PM me or any other admin and they will unban you.
Here are some tips for when and If you do come back...
1. Get on teamspeak. It helps. See forum thread.
2. Read rules. See forum thread.
3. If you don't know how to fly, strafe, bomb, and most importantly ... ID targets, then I can almost guarantee that this will not be your last kick/ban on this server. Bombing a neutral base with friendlies around is not smart. Bombing your own base is even less smart. So, if you have trouble identifying ground targets I would advise you to avoid planes until you practice a bit.
4. Be nice in game and on this forum.

Yeah for sure. Im sure the ban isn't long anyways. Fargin is a good admin without a doubt. I was just saying that he doesn't play like a smacker, he plays normally, everyone has there bad days.
