Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Seen any good films?

Thu Mar 18, 2004 3:14 am

There is probalbly a thread like this already in existance but I'm too lazy to look for it so I am gonna start a new one. Has anyone seen any films they would like to recommend to me, cos I am bored and I have just bought a new DVD player. Likewise is there anything you want to warn me about because I don't think I could satnd another 'Pearl Harbour' or 'Gigli'!

To kick it off if you haven't seen a film called 'Dog Soldiers' (a british werewolf flick) you should try to find it because it is funny as fuck (whatever that means).

I saw Dog Soldiers on HBO or something, it was horrible!

School of Rock, Jack Black is great in it, and the tunes are awesome. Some of them are in BF:V too.

Must miss: Cold Creek Manor - real yawner. Way slow. Way disappointing.

I've heard good things about the Pianist. I have it on DVD but have yet to watch it. I'll second the School of Rock, though.

Sea Biscuit seemed like a re-tread of Black Stallion (one of my all-time favorites). But if you haven't seen Black Stallion, Sea Biscuit is worth watching.

"The Triplets of Bellville" was interesting
"Swimming Pool" was pretty cool

"Dawn of the Dead" is out tomorrow, and I'll be there like white on rice!

The Black Stallion series (mostly the first 2 books/movies) are definitely classic-favorites of mine. The movies were alright, but the books are GREAT.

No thanks horses give me the creeps

Since BFV just came out maybe you should watch Jacob's Ladder. It's a pretty creepy flick that not too many have heard about. Oh wait, after seeing your last reply maybe "creepy" isn't what you're looking for. :)

Jacobs Ladder is a fantastic movie if you don't mind being scared.

I don't mind being scared, I just don't like horses, and guinea pigs. They are Evil.#

Oh and hey I am a year old on ECGN today, hooray for me!
