IE Settings Question

Postby TestMonkey#8 » Tue Apr 06, 2004 7:00 pm

When i enter an address into IE Address field it will try to auto complete my entry based on the first few letters typed. I have searched and searched for a way to turn this function off but have found nothing. Anyone know how to turn it off, or how to clear the existing information IE is using to auto complete. I have allready cleared history, deleted temp internet files, and deleted cookies and nothing worked. :wall:

Thanx in advance

It's under the content tab of your IE options.

To adjust AutoComplete settings

You can configure AutoComplete to save and suggest only the information you want. You can choose whether to use AutoComplete for Web addresses, forms, and passwords, or not use it all. You can also clear the history for any of these.

In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.
