Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Shocking! SHOCKING I SAY!
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/WNT/Investigation/oil_for_food_ripoff_040420.html
Who would have suspected something like this was behind all the opposition to the invasion of Iraq.
I say again that I am shocked!

Yeah this broke on the Oreilly factor yesterday and also on talk radio. I'm not shocked in the slightest.

I am waiting to here the anti-war people explain this. Now I am not saying you cannot have a legitimate anti-war viewpoint. Hell I have some myself. But I certainly heard a lot of "Not without the UN" and "We need to work thru the UN" crap previously. Would that be the UN were the head of the Food for Oil program is suspected of making millions of dollars from that very program? The same UN that helped funnel all this oil to the people on the list?
It strikes me as funny seeing as how one of the big antiwar lines was "We are just doing this for Oil" "Bush/Cheney are doing this to enrich their oil company buddies" Well it seems someone was getting rich of Iraqi oil. It just wasn't who the people complaining said it was.
And yet here we sit in America with gas prices at an all time high. Where's all that oil we are blatantly raping Iraq for? It sure as hell isn't coming to America.

Maybe we should have taken over Kuwait for oil. Wasn't that the "real" reason we went there? Remember, "no blood for oil". Personally, I think fighting for oil is a good reason for war.
These anti-war people are nutcases.

Are you going to tell me that he didn't use all that oil money to help feed his people?!?!! Ingus, that IS shocking. I thought Saddam was a man of his word! Taking away money from his countrymen "who'dve thunk it".
In further shocking news, the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning and will set in the west just before it gets dark.
Let's execute the guy and get it over with. Anyone think any UN'ers will do any jail-time. I seriously doubt it.

This is going to be a very large story. There is a congressional hearing and a UN hearing being conducted as we speak.
So stick that in your liberal pipe and smoke it. You guys notice that alot of the liberal media outlets haven't played this one up. Like I said I caught it on the O'Rielly Factor.

Another big surprise, right??? If a Republican could be blamed for this debacle, it'd be front page news for months.

Oh minga if there was anyone on the right tied to this the media would be tearing this story alive.
I am so waiting to see how it plays out. I find this story extremely enlightening and I hope it gets the press it deserves.

Strange. I have been flipping thru CNN and MSNBC and I can't seem to hear anything about this.
I wonder why that is?

I looked also with the same results Colonel. That's just too funny. Millions of dollars in fraud illegally obtained by elected and appointed officials of countries that directly opposed the war and are members of the UN. All of this directly tied to the UN, oil and Iraq and managed by Kofi Anan's son.
This isn't a headline worthy of MSNBC or CNN? No wonder their ratings are in the crapper. This issue should be driven to the top to show the motives behind the decisions that were made by certain countries. The motives that basically starved the people of Iraq.
So we roll in to end the whole fking show and we're the stealers of oil and the enemy of Islam. The friggin irony is killing me over here!
