Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Finally, after making viruses that topped the internet security charts for months, he is caught.

Something tells me he won't be unemployed for too long, assuming he stays out of prison.

It's that guy from the German Idol video.

"British coast guard stations were forced to use pen and paper for charts normally generated by computer."
Oh dear God, not pen and paper! What has the world come to? He deserves life for that one!
Lmfao.

I know it cost us a ton of man hours. No damage really but the frantic patching, helpdesk calls, and time that could have been spent doing more productive things really costs companies money. Real money.
Sun May 09, 2004 10:35 am
They should charge him with every cent....
Sun May 09, 2004 11:26 am
Let him go.
It's the same stuff that happened last year with the MyDoom virus. There was a MS patch out for 6+ months and the only people who got hit were too stupid or lazy to patch their own servers.
Sun May 09, 2004 12:59 pm
I always download the latest patches when concerning viruses of course...but the damn idiot losers that do that kind of stuff should be locked up for the rest of there lives. It just proves that they have no life and nothing better to do then ruin other peoples computers from the "safety" of their own house..what a

I agree these idiots that make the virus should be locked up for good. It's because of them that alot of people dont enjoy alot of the benefits the internet offers because there scared.
Not to mention the poorer people who are just learning to use computers and the internet only to have there system F***ed up by these idiots and now they cant afford to have them fixed.
Should make them run a gauntlet with all the people who they screwed up there computers and let them run by these people while they throw there busted computers at them

If they live hopefully their learn there lesson, but having several thousand people tossing keyboards, monitors, desktops etc.... odds are there die. OWELL
Hell I'd probably buy old computers just so i could let them get infected so I could stone these Losers.
Sun May 09, 2004 1:52 pm
That would surely teach 'em their lesson

I say put his ass in prison and give him a criminal record that will prevent him from getting any job other than burger flipping.
But, I'm with MMmmGood on this, the real problem lies with people who use computer systems (especially for business) without knowing the first thing about them.
Businesses have to start realizing computers and their Internet link are now a critical part of their activities, and thus they should spend for resources to keep them working.
Why is it that nobody would take the controls of an airplane without getting a license first, but they'll do it with a computer? It's the same thing, except the computer is even more dangerous.
Don't use a computer if you don't know how, it's that simple!
(And all the marketing hype that says it's as easy to use as a toaster doesn't help. It's just plain lying.)

Not to mention the shoddy security holes in operating systems that these people continue to tolerate because they're completely ignorant of them. (Obviously, if they didn't patch).

Think of all the jobs these virus (or is it virii) create
Sun May 09, 2004 5:25 pm
True... Really a whole industry has developed... I bet billions upon billions a year are spent on viruses... There is no black or white... only grey...
