Of course we understand. You were respectful and posted the right way. On the other hand one of the HPC players who came on here represented you guys very badly and disrespected some of us. I hope we can all make a few friends out of this, it was a really rediculis thing. We all have one thing in common we play Wolf so thats a start.

Lumping the whole community as a whole and labeling them idiots or whatever you want to call them, was a bit short-sided. At least on my part. I did play on the HPC server a few times last night and this morning.... And the thing i realized is that there are many people who are excellent at the map.... same w/ the beach.

Random was right when he did post about there being two different servers, communites, rules etc. Although i disagree w/ many of the things posted about ECGN regulars and the few racist remarks on that thread, i've been reminded that i have the opportunity to go there and thread on w/ those people... or the opportunity not to.

There are good people and bad people in the world.... and unfortunately some of those bad people make it into the gaming community and invade the servers we play on. Whether it be HPC or ECGN, the best opportunity we have is to play on, play well and represent the best we can. This is all a game. The benefit of all this is actually meeting people from different countries, cultures, and racial backgrounds.

For my part, i believe i acted too hastily, posted things that were in essence unfair to some of those people who post on their forums. In a way, i guess this is a sort of apology. To further explain why i've become a turncoat per se in regards to the things i've said i can only tell you about my life outside of gaming, so if you arent interested in it, you can stop here:

My job entails me doing security for a major retail company. Part of my job has me making sure customers actually pay for things... which they should. However, i transfered to an area of St. Louis that has a huge array of social and econmic backgrounds... meaning Rich white people, poor white people, rich black people, poor black people, hispanic, asian and so on... its probably the most consolidated area of cultures in St. Louis County.

I've been w/ the company for 7 years, so i am extremely familiar w/ my job. I transfered to this location in the last 6 weeks. Getting to the point, out of all my years w/ the company i've never been called a racist, until now. 3 times its happened in those 6 weeks. And its all based upon 20 seconds total of interaction in all three instances. Its my belief that it is a rather unfair assesment of myself.

And thats exactly why i feel i've been rather hypocritical for a few hours. It took Aar1012's post to read my own words to understand that and i appreciate his concern regarding my actions.

So i extend my apology to Aar1012 and anyone else who was offended in any way. I choose to play where i play. so do the people of HPC. As far as i'm concerned... the whole deal is done. I've no more complaints regarding the subject.

Many of us who are regular players on HPC, myself included, have been there for some time. I've been there since HPC came to be, and played on the old Happy Penguin server before it. As a server admin, we try to avoid kicking and banning players, especially for trivial things like "spamming". I put that in quotes intentionally because everyone has a different definition of spamming. We tend to give people leeway in that respect. After all, we're there to have a good time. Sometimes many of us go into the game just to goof around. We're NOT serious players by any stretch of the imagination.

Come to HPC and have a good time, you're more than welcome to join us, just don't expect tournament style play -- leave that for the serious people. One thing we all request -- don't just put /+salute into your config... bind it... we don't appreciate auto-saluters and tend to flame them without mercy
