I havent been on lately because of lag, and yesterday i realized my CPU was pinned to 100%, and would really rather not reformat the whole twanger, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a particular process eating up all the resources?

No thats the weird part ill only have like Internet Explorer running taking up like 30,000 if thats normal.

I'd suspect a virus.

I have Norton and i heard windows update can do it too, and i just did that on fri. Do i have to reformat the whole twanger u think?

run task manager and check to see which process is contributing to your cpu load. i always hate it when people choose to reformat their system instead of identifying the cause.

do not run internet explorer when you are playing. in fact, exit all non-essential applications.

Don't forget to run the free spyware programs, check to see if something has you by the 'balls'.

Spybot, SpywareBlaster and AdAware are the ones I use at least once a week.
