Good round. I always find it easier in the trenches/murder hole to aim and get head shots, less or an open area for enemies to run to.

You're a clean player Edogg, I respect that. Head-shots are definatly something to think about if you want to go over the century mark. Takes approximately 10 bullets to kill someone to the body (more with sten, I'm not sure on the stens body damage but it has to be around 10, as opposed to 13 and 15 for the mp40 and the Thompson). Takes 4 shots to the melon to drop someone with any of those three guns. One to take the helmet off, 3 x 50pts for the rest. Typically they drop on the 3rd or, if you're lucky, 2nd, and, even luckier, 1st shot to the head. Not only do they make for a faster kill (less then one second with a sten to kill someone who's at full health), but you don't have to scurry around healing yourself after a bloody battle. Then there's the ammo consideration. Rarely, I've been able to kill 4 guys in a row who had full health with one clip. Not a big deal as a lt, but for when I go med it keeps me in the action a lot longer.

Anyway ya slice it, nice kills man.

I thought the body damage was 18 for the MP40, 20 for the Thompson and something like 12 for the Sten, just like the Colt and Luger.

I checked and you were right...

That is a good number. You are a good player, I'm sure you'll get it.

Master.... did you actually find out how much the sten body damage is? I've never seen it listed anywhere.....

Here's the link to all the weapons details: http://wolfensteinresource.com/weapons/

Scroll down a little and you'll see it with everything like the rate and acc.

I would have thought the body damage of the venom would be lower to compensate a little for the fast rate of fire, but apparently not.

While keeks main theme is correct, according to that chart and everyother I have seen the sten delivers the same damage as the MP40 to the body (14) athough most of the guns deliver 50 damage points to the head. This means it could take up to 3 head shots to kill some one with the sten and up to 9 shots to the body depending on the amount of medics on the other side (more medics mean a higher Full health bar up to a point) and depending on how much of that health he has when he reaches you.

If you are going for headshots crouching is the best position since it increases accuracy (especially for the Thompson) and the sten is the most accurate of the SMGs.

As far as the venom goes it is a waste of time to go for head shots since it delivers the same damage to the body or head. (20). Its rapid rate of fire is compensated by its weight (have to move slow with one) and its poor accuracy scores. Thats why it is best used where movement is limited for both parties. i.e. the ducts or stairwells or hallways.

gee, thanks Prof. Comtech... that was a well thought out, articulate speech.

It's been ages since I've play RTCW, but I recall my one of my fun goals was to 'Hit for the Cycle': without respawning or getting revived, get at least one kill with each of your weapons --SMG, Pistol, Knife, Grenade, and a mounted MG (if available)
