One plus with that one is you can change the button colors from a choice of over 512 colors!

Usually if they are motorized, when you hit the button the faceplate will kinda flop down, you stick in the cd, and then manually click it back closed.....

(PS. Alpine is overpriced )

Do some research before buying an Alpine CD head unit. I've had a lot of problems with the loading mechanism. Friends had similar problems also. CD won't track and some won't even play. Crappy for a $400 cd player.

Take the money you woudl spend on your car system and purchase a nice one for your home.

Think about it. How long do you spend per day in your car? Now how long do you spend per day in your home?

I gave up on car audio after high school when I realized it was a waste of money to be putting thousands of dollars worth of equipment into a car I spent not even an hour a day in.

Since then it has been nothing but bliss at my house.

Random, whenever looking at how many watts an amplifier puts out. Look at how many watts it produces continuously(RMS) not just peak power. They try to fool you using that number.

Also, when using a multi channel amp, make sure it is simultaneously. Many amps are rated per channel when only one is being driven, turn on a second or third channel and the power drops.

I love this site. I had a deal that fell through for a nice tube amp(cayin ta-30 w/ bizzybee mods).

I am currently waiting for a good deal on a cdp, as i am using a temperary pioneer 563a for dvd, cd, sacd and dvd-a. i wasn't abotu ready to dump a crap load of money on a multichannel cdp when the formats are still too young. Redbook cd audio is driving me nuts, too flat and hollow. I need to get a redbook cdp, badly. I am looking at the music hall as I hear it is an amazing bang for the buck(used around $300 or demo from a dealer for around $350).

I am using the Rocket 550's as mains, the 150's as rears and the 200 for a center(kick ass center, on of the best in it's price range, let alone 2 or 3 times the price). All of this is running off a h/k 525. I went with the h/k as their amp section is amazing, and the have great cross overs for multichannel music listening.

I don't know about Music Hall's cdp, but their turn tables kick ass. I bought a MMF-5 a few months ago and pretty much stopped listening to CDs.

For Redbook, I use a basement grade Sony as a transport, with a very old Aragon DAC. The sound is a little harsh and dry, so I thought about getting a tube DAC. But they are too expensive, so I bought the turn table instead. Except for the occasional snap, crackle, pop, records just sounds better.

It looks pretty plain but you can download images, action clips, intros and exits, burn it to cd and install it on the receiver.

Im gonna order it next Thursday, and depending on how much money I have I may get some rear 6 x9's either Infinity or JBL, they are the same company so it won't matter.
