The first president to get involved in the Middle-East. It was NOT Clinton, nor was it Bush (although he worsened it).
We shouldn't have ever gone there in the first place. Now we have no reason to be surprised when our citizens are gruesomely beheaded.

The price we are paying for being dependent on OPEC oil is these sorts of incidents. If we didn't need the Saudi's good favor, this man would not be working over there and we would not be embroiled in this sort of conflict. However, at this stage it is too late to turn back and become isolated from the Middle East. Perhaps at some time far in the past we could have decided to stay the hell out of there. However considering the effects of WWII and the Zionist movement, and the strong political forces at work in this nation, both in the post WWII era and now, I doubt we can ever reach a point where we can return to a non globalistic existence. Every nation depends on each other now, and that is not going to change. Supporting the Saudi's however, and other nations where the rich are few and the poor many, where woman are not equal, this will continue to build the anger and resentment which we see in a case like this man's death.

all they had to do was stuff some explosives up the prisoners' asses... and then released and excanged them.. once we got our man and they got theirs Blam!! set of the explosives adios to all of them... of course we could only do this one time since they would wise up...or would they?
