I was coming home from the mall today and heard this on the radio...
A guy named Mike Mahon from LA bought 3,000 tickets for two of the last 3 games of the dodgers season. His hopes were that he would buy the whole right field section of the ballpark (which he did) and it would gurantee him the ball from Barry Bonds, if he hit his 700th, 714th or 715th Homerun that day. The Giants are in LA for a 3 game series to close the year out, and Barry has a chance to hit these marks.
Then LA Dodgers told him that if a percentage of the seats weren't full, they would let fans in for free. (This is because they would lose parking, and concession money.) So McMahon responded by inviting 500 friends to come to the game for free. He said he strategically put them in groups of 3-5, and whoever caught the ball would split the profit 50/50.
Now for Barry to actually hit #700,714 or 715..it would require him to....23 more HRs to hit 700, and 37/38 for 714,715.
The other point i thought of, will be that the Dodgers will be in the race for a wildcard and their division (with the Giants). So why would LA pitch to him? He's already had a million Intentional Walks, and last 3 games of the season you don't Barry bombing away your season.
The third thing, is that Barry might not even hit it to RF, because he has the power he also has a lot of opposite field home runs.
