I've started playing on ECGN recently and taking the flamer away would ruin allot of fun for me. I use it allot and I rarely ever kill myself or TK with it. Of course I hate those pesky medics who can ussually take me out before they are cooked.Originally posted by SavageParrot
Hmmn do we really need to have flamers? It seems to be only noobs who use flamers, and they always suck so tk's inevitably follow. If we banned the flamer then the beach would be a happy smiling land full of candy and flowers.
Seriously though the problem with tks is that the majority of tks are accidental. The fact that there ar 64 people in a very small map inevitably leads to carnage. Deliberate tkers are easy, but what if the player is just bad? For the most part I try to steer noobs towards being a med or an lt but most of them want the biggest badest weapon they can get and then they can't handle it. I can't imagine any of you would support giving admins the right to choose what class you play so there is not alot anyone can do about them, untill they really get out of control.
I agree with slaughter on getting rid of the points for touching the docs, it might help to whittle down that army of venoms that lives in the war room. I would however go further and either get rid of the point bonus for kills in the war room, or make it so that the bonus worked for the allies as well as the axis thereby giving incentive for the noob flamer to haul ass down to the war room and kill some Nazis. I also thought about a point bonus for allied kills in the radio room, that would be fun.

I got -8 from a guy who jumped infront of me after I announced I was going to shoot my panzer 3 times and ended up instagipping us both when he jumped.Originally posted by arkaine
I have no idea how many points a person gets for revives, kills, or touching the docs and like it that way. I found I was more inclined to camp the war room when I first started playing because there was usually back up there and less action. Now I want the action......
I still like the way it was when we had to forgive a TKer. How many TK's does a person have to have to get -20. I saw someone with -14 yesterday and that person had many asking an admin to kick him.

I also see that a lot, but it's my way to get most kills for a round. I fight the guy who I can see is the best in the 3 or 4 ennemies and then finish the others who were shooting at each other trying to touch me lol. If it doesnt happen like that well I die and come back.Originally posted by Slaughter1
I find myself and Keek can say the same thing I'm sure, that I have 4 on 1's and 3 on 1's most of game because the points are soooooo important...

If not, leave the points for docs...for the wr cleaners as me is very important that the wr campers like recover docs (for points). After I die in wr with docs, an inopportune nade blows just when 3 pointwhores takes the docs.

I think my biggest complaint is how regulars will ban together against an uber-noobish team... and delightfully torment and just plain pwn them for 25 minutes.
At the end, thump their cyber-chests and congratulate each other on a job well done. I like a good challenge but at some points it just gets to be a little too rediculous.
