I wasn't bashing Jimmy, just pointing out that he might very well have a fabrication in his sig.

I won't lie about it... I'm a Bush supporter. I ignored his sig even thought I found that part to be a little fishy, but when he cites it as a reason that Bush is "dumb," I felt the need to look it up. After sifting through a couple pages of leftist pages, I came across the Washington Post.

Don't get me wrong, some of the right-wing posters on this forum piss me off just as much as Jimmy if not more just because they make us look bad.

This whole Neocon, liberalcrat, etc name calling is the biggest load of sh*t to come down the pipe, seriously. Most people are only slightly left or right of center, very slightly. Most Republicans aren't rich racist, homophobic people, most democrats aren't anti-American, communist sympathizer pacifists. Way on the left and right fringe, those people exist, and they tend to make a lot more noise than the other 99% (normal) population. Fair enough?

But the screwed up thing is when we perceive of 'them' to be the radical kind when they aren't. To counter our perception of them, we become a ridiculous cartoon image temporarily. Soon enough, Jimmy Tango has a bunch a rhetoric in his sig, and Face is calling him a liberalcrat. Something tells me Jimmy Tango does NOT burn US flags and worship Lenin, and Face probably isn't a nazi militant ready to kill a commie for mommy!
So, why the hell are we playing these cartoon roles, providing each other with a political boogeyman?

The most important part of this post? Well, here you see too diametrically oppossed and probably very politically motivated points of view.

Notice how their recollection of the events and their views on it completely differed? But these guys were all good friends hanging out together discussing the news of the day.

Funny isn't it? you can almost see that happening in places other than Iraq. Hell it could happen here some day!

Here is the problem: you automaticly think that if I am displeased with Bush, or I am not a Republican, I am a Clinton supporter, a Kerry supporter(like int he other thread) and a democrat.

Here is a little secret I will let you into: the United States of America is not a two party system.

I will say that the problem during Clonton's administration is that $80 million dollars was spent to dig up as mnuch dirt on him as possible so that they could possibly nail him on the stand. To me that is the biggest tragedy. All of us have had indiscretions in our life time, I can think of only one where millions of tax payers money was spent digging up every little indiscretion with the sole purpose of nailing someone under oath.

Correct me if I am wrong here Jimmy but that 80 million wasn't just spent trying to point out Bill lied under oath. A significant pportion was spent on the Whitewater investigation.

IMO that needed to be spent just like the investigations into the S&L scandals during the 80's. And much like the S&L scams of the 80's no one was found guilty and the rich got richer illegally without getting into trouble.

Probably just as much as there needs to be an investigation into the open ended contract that was awarded Haliburton without open bidding on the contract Now there is something you can point out that the Bush Administration did that was stupid that can be proved.

It's not? Who else would you vote for? The way it is today, which truly is a shame, there are only 2 choices , anything else would be a wasted vote.

Ingus, in another thread you claim to not be a Republican, you are in the middle and support Bush. i accept that, fine(though disbelieve it with your rants on 'liberals are the cause this and liberals are the cause that,' I only rip on Bush, not the party).

So why is it not allowed to be the opposite?
