Any console RPG fans here? Deciding between two RPGs

Tales of Symphonia is the sure bet.

It's a remake of a VERY VERY VERY GOOD japanese RPG from teh super famicon.

I'm not allowed to say how I have played it before (znes) but it's fricken awesome. I also think Symphonia would have more replay value and take longer to beat with abetter story. (multiple ways of beating the game if I remember right)

IF you like FF, get x-2. It has kind of a "charlies angels" feel to it, but I don't mind. It's a good game IMHO. I'm just now getting to the meaty story part of it.

My brother just got Tales of Symphonia and loves it. He also plays that Final Fantasy game online that I don't understand what the big deal is.

From what I saw of it it looked pretty sweet. And I guess the main character's voice is the voice of Robin in 'Teen Titans' so my bro says. Oh and it has good anime cutscenes IMO I almost thought he was watching some anime DVD.

But why not get both?

Just an Xbox owner waiting patiently for Sudeki and Fable here.

FF3 was pretty good, FF2 was ok if you like nothing but story and not very good gameplay.

You know, I thought otherwise. I thought the story lacked, and was put to the wayside for graphics. I very much prefer the nintendo FF games over the PS ones.
