This man is absolutely amazing. I've watched many of the stages, and find it pretty interesting.

Congratulations go to the US Postal Service team, and Lance. He is a machine.

Yep, i just hope he isn't doping likst most riders, although i think he might, but either way, he is a great cyclist and IMO the best in Tour de France history, and now that hes won his 6th straight, he passed the few riders that failed after the 5th.

That is one hard thing to do. I went on a 50 mile bike ride once before and I thought I was gonna die. lol

I wanna see it but I haven't got to it yet.

I didn't think his scene in Dodgeball was that funny. The cameo itself was funny, but he's a bicyclist, not an actor. :P

Congrats to him!

I thought his scene was hilarious. I know hes not an actor, but his line cracked me up. That and "the ocho." The movie itself was o.k. if you like stupid ben stiller characters. It was by far the best cameo by an athlete... with Brett Favre coming in a close second in something about mary.

Lance Armstrong: Hey, aren't you Peter La Fleur?
Peter La Fleur: Lance Armstrong!
Lance Armstrong: Ya, that's me. But I'm a big fan of yours.
Peter La Fleur: Really?
Lance Armstrong: Ya, I've been watching the dodgeball tournament on the Ocho. ESPN 8. I just can't get enough of it. Good luck in the tournament. I'm really pulling for you against those jerks from Globo Gym. I think you better hurry up or you're gonna be late.
Peter La Fleur: Uh, actually I decided to quit... Lance.
Lance Armstrong: Quit? You know, once I was thinking of quitting when I was diagnosed with brain, lung and testicular cancer all at the same time. But with the love and support of my friends and family, I got back on the bike and won the Tour de France five times in a row. But I'm sure you have a good reason to quit. So what are you dying of that's keeping you from the finals?
Peter La Fleur: Right now it feels a little bit like... shame.
Lance Armstrong: Well, I guess if a person never quit when the going got tough, they wouldn't anything to regret for the rest of their life. Well good luck to you Peter. I'm sure this decision won't haunt you forever.:rotflmao:

Yes I agree he did a major performance. But calling him the best cyclist ever is something else. If you know something about race cycling, then you've probably heared about Eddy Merckx , nicknamed 'cannibal'. If it wasn't for an injury in 1973, he sure would have won the Tour 6 times too. And don't forget Armstrong concentrates solely on the Tour de France, ignoring other great races. Personally I think Eddy Merckx is still the best race cyclist, and I think many cycling fans will agree.

Nevertheless, Armstrong's achievement is amazing. He sure is one of those who distinguish themselves from the other sportsmen.

Sure, root for the Belgian... such blatant flag-waving and nationalism... tsk tsk

That being said...... GO USA!

:D :D :D

Well Floppy, I remember Merckx when I was a kid. He was awesome. I guess "if" Armstrong didn't have cancer he may have done more as well. It's always interesting to compare the past with the present in any sport.
