I know this doesn't need to be drawn out but if i didn't do well in making my point, maybe if I can illustrate at least one aspect of what has made me post this here.
savant you are a good player and have my upmost respect but if you don't mind may i use you in a small hypothetical scenario? heh.
Ok, savant and keek are on allies and allies are having big problems taking the trenches and it's one big crazy firefight. savant finally gets to the end of the trenches and sees 5 teamates lying dead on the steps and notices 3 axis venoms at the top of the stairs wiping out all the allies....savant takes 1 step back then sprints around the corner and throw a nade that hits the targety killing all 3 venoms soldiers but in the process tk's keek who took the murder hole way to come up behind the axis venom. Savant vsays sorry and goes on his way.
5 minutes later after allies secure trenches and upperbase savant moves along to the top of the backstairs and looks down and sees 3 dead allies killed by a streaming axis flame at the bottom of stairs, he again steps back and primes a nade jumps up on the handrail dropping the nade down the backstairway again hitting his mark and killing the axis flamer but unfortunately also kills a teamate hiding under the stairway that had survived the flamer.
this teamate that savant killed is kinda new but has a colorful name and a clan tag and is pissed off as hell at savant and pms keek stating that "savant is tk'ing". Keek reads this pm and replies to the peon that he will take care of it.
Now, what is keek going to do? I came up with 2 answers:
1-he's going to do nothing at all, savant is a fellow admin and is well known as a good player and no way in the world is savant going to knowingly break the rules, and it absolutly without question had to be an unavoidable tk.
and 2- maybe keek might if he feels like it pm to savant a message like this.."lol, ya know some noob just pm'ed saying your tk'ing..lol : D ". and that would be that.
that entire hypothetical is what i believe and expect to be the extent of any tk complaint againa a player like savant with his status and history as a regular. I mean can anyone here imagine for a second keek taking that noobs complaint so serious that he would openly globaly admonish savant about tk'ing?
all I'm saying is that any regular player with a positive reputation should be treated as a player like savant not that we are all equals but that a players status as a regular and their reputation for playing a clean game is something that can only be rewarded by being given a bit of care and consideration for there positive efforts.
I was admonished twice globally never given any warning whatsoever and that bothered me that all the sudden I'm being treated like a noob with no forwarnings and twice in less than a week. But that did not make me angry enough to quit ecg beach, what burned my butt was the cold answer keek gave me to being unhappy with what I believed was inconsideration of my record on the server.
keek's apology, so noted and given credit for doing, can be only partially accepted by me because I think my point has been mostly lost. admins can take this drama and maybe remember that most peeps keep this to themselves not because they think it's unimportant but because they are afraid of being ridiculed and being called whinner(which i couldn't give a hoot about being called a whinner). so for every 1 players that actually bitches and moans about something you can bet there are 10 others that are feeling the same way but can not speak up.
revolution, revo revo lution! heh heh. anywho, just for the record this may seem dramatic to some that see this as the pinacle of the life of a whinner but to me it's just expressing how I feel emotionally about something. feelings fade quickly and life goes on..omg is that drama phewewwy.
I won't drag this out I think I made my point as best i can and if its over the top and still looked at as only whinning or whatever then so be it. I will not hold any hate or ill will towards keek or anyone over this and i will actually thank you for allowing me to vent here and will now move on. I might add that if anyone sees this or anything in these forums that strikes them as being drama I only hope that in their life this is as dramatic as anything they have to experience ever gets : )

Space you're legitimately upset. Maybe some drama thrown in there, but obviously you're really bothered by this. I don't mean to diminish your reg status by saying something publicly Space. From long experience most people don't look at pm's. Putting someone in spec gets their attention enough that they will then see a message. It's just the fastest way I know of to deal with a situation.
Regs believe they can do things because they're regs and have experience. Although valid up to a point (and I think the admins do let things slide a bit with regs) the problem on our end is that noobs see a reg doing something, and then think they can do it. And the first thing they do when told not to do it is say 'so and so can do it'. Double standards... an icky slippery-slope place to be. So we tend to lean towards black and white rather than grey on situations.
Here's the standard response I have to accusations about tk'ing. First thing I do is look at where it's coming from, then who the accused tk'r is. Then I do a check on the alleged tk'r to see how many points they have. (if negative I almost always drop immediately into spec or get one of the admins already in spec to check them out). I then scroll up in console to see when they made a tk, if they appologized for it, who said anything at the time, or anything else that might fill out the case. If the alleged tk'r is a known culprit, and if the server is busy, and if the person(s) lodging the complaint are reliable regs, I'll *possibly* (read rarely) put a temp-ban on the alleged tk'r. Almost always the alleged is spec'd first.
I would never take a complete noobs word about a tk at face value UNLESS the alleged tk'r is a verifiable wank who's only purpose in coming to the server is to cause problems (and these are few as they tend to get weeded out with full bans).
Hell, I've been kicked for low-neg myself (never throw airstrikes at the begining of a game when you have 0 points--that's my advice). I was kicked by Zog for (spamming i think) in my early days.
No worries mate, you're a good player. That area around the radio-room has been a neglected area for a long time and I've been making effort in the past few weeks to clean up the clumping that goes on there.

Man, I feel the same since 6 months ago, and I keep it to myself (my S.M. tag means silence mode, cos I was tired to see a lot of injustices) till it damaged me personally (insults, accusations, disrespect...). As you (and I think more than 5 regulars good players, and better persons) I play in another server and only come to ecgn to talk with some friend or play when there aren´t admins.
