Well for the most part that is true. But some people are overweight due to eating disorders or other health issues.

(I'm not overweight at all though.;))

No, I'm talking about average joe. Most people on this Atkins shit are just overweight due to laziness. People with health disorders and such need to see their doctor though, not go on some weird cookie-cutter diet or have some surgery.

That is precisely the problem. The average Joe doesn't eat properly.

If you want to get really sick, go see a conventional doctor with digestive issues, including weight loss. 90% of them have absolutely no clue when it comes to diet and therapeutic nutrition.

Here, take this drug......here, take this drug to counteract the negative side effects of the last drug. Here, take this anti-depressant to put another bandaid on the last drug that caused depression. It's an endless cycle.

Next thing you know, you're on 8 different drugs.

Dakana, your still in school no? try getting an 8+hr job sitting in front of a computer see how you start putting on the pounds, with a half hour for lunch, so ya have to run out and grab something quick. so you say just exercise, well then forget about getting on the PC after work to play any games.

The nice thing about eating low carb is that as I loose weight, I crave to be active. After loosing 15lbs I have started working out and walking more then I ever have.

Once I hit my target weight I will start working towards a more balanced diet.
