Ok, so let's allow stem cell research. Let's encourage those who wish to screw around, get pregnant, and get an abortion. All it does is encourage that., and not feel guilty for their wrongdoings. I mean, having an abortion is good for science, right? So why not get knocked up 24/7 if I can maybe cure 1 person ...in 10 years. Better cure something living than to let something live...

questionn is, does this thread border on the political? it is a topic among politicians right now and the only reason why its being mentioned is because of the upcoming elections... debating pros and cons of Stem cell research is not political.

Debate is not political unless you make it. Drudging up political names like Bush and Kerry is what makes it taboo.

But yes, Jeffro, no one does listen anymore... for example if i told you to stfu... would you? probably not :lol:

LOL. Umm.. First off, you dont HAVE TO KILL A FETUS to get stimcells. It's the most common way. How about rape abortions? Are women who are raped allowed to have one?

What about parkinsons disease, heart, blood, kidney failures, diabetes (such as I have)... They can even replace rotting teeth with stem cells. Stem cells latch onto currently exsisting DNA to regrow tissues and help heal the body.

If the cost of my wanting to cure my diabetes, replace the teeth I lost in an accident, cure my mother's colon cancer, my uncles bone cancer, my other uncles esophagus cancer, cure alheimers that made my great grandmother lame, and watch Michael J Fox cured of his Parkinsons is a few unwanted fetus',.. I say do it.

I didn't say anything about women not being allowed to have one. I'm saying why benefit them. They should live with the consequences of their actions. Rape abortions, imo, is a completely different matter.
