Olympic Ceremony

I just wanted to open up a discussion thread about your thoughts on the Olympic Ceremony.

My thoughts:

I found that the announcers were very annoying and irritating. The male annoucer made some asinine comments about a country's outfit and he also made another comment making fun of a country's name.

The female annoucer kept making negative statements about the hardships of some countries, and no positive statements.

I am appaled at this and I think they should be fired.






I missed the United States entrance, but chances are, we were booed.

No, we got the loudest cheer of all. The announcer commented on how the Greeks didn't agree with USA's policy's since Regean(sp?)/Nixon but they seperate the citizens....

Besides the cornballish 'art' show I can't get over how scary that greek hostess womans face is. It's scarier then Doom 3.

Nrew Zeland had some pretty hot female athelets. I'm scocked and appauled that Costas didn't point that out.

i am a bigger fan of the winter games but I am watching the ceremonies because I've been to Athens. I hope everyone knows that they are not supposed to flush t.p.

I didn't like the announcers either, when he was talking about Croatia, i believe, he said that the Croation Government is rewarding all their gold medalists with $1 Million Dollars, and the announcer followed it with "the government won't have to pay much".

Is it Costas? I thought it was that good morning america guy. Does sound like Bob tho know that you mention it.
