I am going to take up some space and ask any of you gjenisus if you can help me defeat lag. [ if it is on my end of course ]

I know that some servers will lag but anything to do? My ping is not bad for the most part. Any ideas-suggestins would be great..........

The lag is just keeping me down; preventing my skills from being out front you know?

Rofl, yesterday I was having a ping of 175 and only 20 FPS. Trust me if I could help you that wouldnt have happen to me.

That's it, that's the reason, I'm not a terrible shot, it's the lag...... ...that's my story and I'm sticking to it....

Thing to do is find out whether it is a lag affecting everyone or just you. At peak times when there are +54 people the lag is server-wide. There are also some 'lag points' in the beach-map that I've noticed. Even with +20 players on the server, if you get into a heavy battle atop the ladder with a bunch of guys, everyone experiences lag.

Yep thats what Sav. Parrot told me.

I have noticed that having a large # of players seem to make a difference at times - plus a large # in the same location make a difference too.
I even dropped my "show drawn weapon" option and lowered all my video to low resolution, which didn't help. It only helped to confuse me further.

I am checking on my connection with my ISP + Fdisc + reload -- - you know, time to clean house anyway. I have problems with other servers also- but I am going to start at ground zero. At least I can knock out my end of it hopefully.

At least it may be more common than not. Maybe EGC needs more contributors to help them with this?

Not meaning to whine on and one .Can't say enough good things about a FREE server that can host 64!
