I was in Ukraine in June-July which used to be part of USSR. They have a few people of a certain mind-set or conviction in that country [free for 12 yrs - after breakup of USSR] who are suggesting more support for Chechnya.

While a small minority this act, if it is an act of terrorism, will enbolden them and others in that region. I doubt that will be on news. Russia is still not very popular with certain groups.

It was an interesting trip - if anyone is in Ukr, Belrus or anywhere like that reads this forum I would be interested your opinions on that.
