For all of those that signed up for the WoW stress test:

"September 1, 2004

World of Warcraft Stress Test Beta Set to Begin
The World of Warcraft stress test beta is just a day away. Hundreds of thousands of gamers applied for the stress test this past week, and FilePlanet was up to the task, issuing over 100,000 accounts and providing the stress test beta client for download. With the signups and downloads complete, we are just about ready to welcome these gamers into World of Warcraft for the very first time.
Starting tomorrow, September 2nd at 12:00 noon PDT, stress test beta participants will be able to create their World of Warcraft accounts and begin playing the game. Their participation will help us optimize our account-creation and server infrastructure, and enable us to deliver the best online experience possible when the game launches later this year. We want to thank everyone who applied for the stress test beta, and we look forward to seeing the new testers online tomorrow when the stress test beta starts.

Selected stress test beta participants should keep an eye on their inboxes for an email containing further instructions."

I for one can't wait. As a big fan of Blizzard It will be interesting to experience there worlds in a diffrent genre even if it will be laggy as hell. This will tide me over till Starcraft Ghost comes out.

Already signed up and downloaded. Just waiting for the account sign up. I'm looking forward to it. I plan on being a Night Elf Hunter. Only thing about MMORPGs, they are more addictive than crack.

too late to sign up? I've been thinking of getting into a good mmorpg, as the most i've played was diablo and it's not the same

For this phase (Stress test beta) it has been closed unless you are a fileplanet subscriber which in that case you can still grab the beta. But they are saying there will be another open beta in a few months.

I was thinking bout being a NE but am leaning towards the horde (Orc or Tauren) as they kick much ass.

U wanna agree on something now so we can all play together? I wouldnt mind being a horde Shaman...

Thu Sep 02, 2004 1:34 pm

Who else is playing? We need to all hook up in game....

Any planes in WoW? :ar15:

Maybe I can strap a dragon on and lay down some fire breathing havoc!

Thu Sep 02, 2004 1:44 pm

Im down for that. As long as you guys choose the horde that is. I plan on being a Tauren Druid hopefully with a blue mohawk. :D

I think you can only form groups if your of the same group (Alliance/Horde)

I've already declared war on my brother who is joining the damn alliance.

Thu Sep 02, 2004 2:17 pm

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to stay true to the Alliance. Don't make me join a PvP server to settle these differences :D .

Ive been playing mmorpgs for long time but the latest shipment stating with ac2-swg etc etc are just terrible. Lineage 2 was the killer for me and have left them alone since. Ill give WoW a try but im really waiting for DnD online.
