Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

that's like Acura. Their cars aren't available to anyone except for people living in North America.

I'm sick of people knocklin American cars, i hate Ford, and specifically Chevy. If you buy a car and think i dont have to change the oil or any other nickel and dime crap good luck, My Silver '86 Monte Carlo SS, had 260,000 miles on the original L69 5.0l, original almost everything,i rebuilt the tranny 2,000 miles after i bought it (250,000), it was loud and ran fine. My dad has a '95 Suburban 6.5l turbo diesel, that had a few problems that didnt start till '02 and they did a bang up job honoring warranties, and getting it done quick. My friend got into an accident in his '01 Maxima rear ended while parked, the other car was doing around 30 and the trunk ended up in the back seat, a friend of mine had a '96 Prelude, that had so many problems he left it on the side of a highway a few months ago. Good luck with those imports.

I haven't had any major problems with my 94' Ford Ranger. It does 60 in about two minutes, but still a good car.

BTW this is Nymh not Buli. The only cars I have ever owned where Ford or Chevy. I have had an escort, 2 cavaliers, a malibu and Buli has a mustang. I can't complain. I agree it is very much like the cavalier. Nice thing is the cobalt has an ss engine in it. And incase you haven't looked at any new cars lately almost all new ones have those damn ugly ass rice euro lights so you can't bash this one too bad for being import like. Plus what import has an ss engine.

Are you anti-american, RCglider?
I have 3 GM vehicles currently and none of them have had defect problems.
Both are over 4 years old and have not fell apart.

Seems I recall more than a few epithets from you about American cars.

This is legit as GM engineers reported these very same problems to us at work.

If being pro-American means buying only American cars simply because they are "American" regardless of the quality, then yes, I'm anti-American.
My Buick Electra was a great car. My Century is a typical American 4 cylinder piece of junk.

All vehicle makers have recalls and problems with some of their products. Seems maybe thats why there is a 'lemon law' in most places.
Altho back to the orginal topic of this thread, yes that chevy looks alot like the civic.

My bro in law just bought a Pontiac GTO... SUPERBADASS. But, the one thing about new models is that the first year they are released they tend to have a lot of problems. They need to work out the kinks. My ford has been good to me, had a pontiac a long time ago, that was nice. I spent more fixing my Integra of all things than any of my other cars.

Well what do you define as american cars? There are more than just 3 vehicle makers that build vehicles in the Americas.

Huh, some web site is legit cause you say so? Seems thats why lemon laws exist in most places! ----------------------------------------

Maybe RCglider isn't anti-American just because he won't buy an American car if he feels it's subpar. Maybe the American car company that make the subpar auto is the one that is anti-American.
