Personally, I use the Gamecube. I don't need it to play DVD's and such...I have devices to do that.
I think the graphics are good for a console (no comparison to my computer).
I like the game selection of the Gamecube and it fits for me. I also like the controller. It seems to just fit in my hands just right.
As far as the other consoles go, if I had to choose between the other two, I would have to pick the XBox, even though I hate the controllers. I like the fact that it has a hard drive and you don't have to buy memory cards all the time and the fact that the hard drive keeps the load time down on the games.
But to each his own...everyone chooses their console based off of what they want (or in some cases, what their parents will buy) and that's why features and game selection is different.
In the end I think they're all good consoles, but I choose the Gamecube.

My friend had one and what from what saw Neo Geo owners had to love their games unconditionally. They wouldn't let themselves believe that after spending £60-120 on a game it could turn out to be so shit. He (and a few others I know) would make song and dance about how great the games were.
If you remember the old days of the Nintendo/Sega dominance and the fanboys and zealots spawned from it, you'll know what I mean.
I'd argue with him that all Neo Geo had was beat-em-up's and shooters, genres that are readily available on the Sega Saturn.
It's all relative, though, and depends on what games YOU like. Not the system.
I prefer titles available on GC. In my opinion Xbox doesn’t have many AAA titles, there’s only three I can think of and own, Halo, Star Wars: KotOR, and Ninja Gaiden. There are good to great games on Xbox, but there are also games that are just as good if not better available on PS2 and GC.
The slot on the Dreamcast controller is for a memory card, a fancy one. It’s called the Visual Memory Unit (VMU) and stores your saved games and let you “manage” them. The special thing about it was that some games would let you download little mini-games onto the VMU and you could play them on the go. Some even allowed you to continue to build character stats while you were out and about. It has poor battery life, I have 4 of them rolling around here doing nothing because I cant be bothered to buy batteries for them. The Xbox went with a similar idea for it’s controllers but it’s not quite the same as the Sega Dreamcast. The PS2 also ripped off the idea but it was only available in Japan and didn’t do too well.

You do not need to buy a new console every 6 months. They are good for at least 5 years before you need or want the latest console.
ok fine, lets see a decent system with a good vid card is 1,000 bucks, a console when new is about 350 bucks, once you buy that xtra conroller (50 BUcKS) some sort of save feature card, and the xtra wiring you need IE cables or whatever, you are looking at 500 bucks +50 bucks to buy a great game to try that "great" console now its 550 bucks.
minus a moniter that came with your system, and going online and getting that 19 inch for 75 bucks now your computer is 700 bucks, isn't the 150 xtra bucks worth it to have internet, that you d/l anything, updates, warez, ect, you can upgrade it for about 5 years after you first got it, and the endless and I mean endless xtra stuff, programs that come with it. And yes you call halo a good game wow, bet you guys love those 20 dollar games at walmart too, no seems to me computer systems win hands down and console are for those guys that like to spend 550 bucks every other year for the "best" system out there
psst.........a good game isn't not always good graphics but also good game play, so buy a damn computer, and stop using your dad's

Ha ha ha, my computer is pretty good for gaming and dind't cost me anything over $400. Course I'm using the moniter I already had but who cares, most people aren't going to buy a high-def tv to play their gamecube. Now all I have to do is wait on my fecking RMA to get here and I'll be able to play my games!!!!

My old duron processor fried (I think it was my fan's fault)
It was past the 6 month warranty so my grandfather bought me a new sempron. I got the sempron, it posted once then fried, So I called up monarchcomputersystems and told them it was DOA they gave me an RMA number and I sent back the processor. They will send a new one, but they ran out of semprons so they can't send me a new one until they get some new ones from the manufacturer.

Xbox. Better Graphics, hard drive it's so great to not have to worry about stupid memory cards and theres a ton a ton of space. I like big controllers as they actually fit in my giant hands the s controllers are ok too. Oh and Team Ninja!

as far as this poll goes i say the cube
