Since recently seeing Resident Evil 2, this news event has me thinking....
Speaking of "nuclear cover-up"........
http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/asiapcf/09/12/nkorea.blast/index.html
You never know... What does our government know about this that they don't want us to know?
**ok blame me for starting rumors.. yes it is far fetched**

a mushroom could caused by an explosion covering 4KM caused by a forest fire! lol suuure

from the CNN article:
The U.S. official said the cloud could be the result of a forest fire
http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/N/NKOREA_EXPLOSION?SITE=CAVAC&SECTION=HOMEa source in China's capital said the explosion left a crater big enough to be seen by a satellite.
Hmmm....last time I checked, forest fires don't leave craters viewable from outer space

Any nuclear explosion would be reported by seismographs in all neighboring countries.

Seisographs arn't used anymore, they use digital equipment instead of analog thins. And they said the explosion was able to be felt hundred of miles away I think. Which would be neighbording countrys as in South Korea and China. How the hell do you make a hole in the ground that big and say it's a freakin forest fire?!?!?!

*ahem* If it was a nuclear explosion, there would have been traces of gamma radiation, lots of it that can be detected by satellites. And there are a few independent organizations with satellites in space that aren't pwned by the great US of A and they would have leaked it out if it was indeed a nuke test.

We gotta face the facts: over the next few decades, more countries are going to develop nukes. In a way, who wouldn't want a nuke? Especially if you live in a troubled region. Having a nuke means you will never have your sovereignty threatened. It's the ultimate ace card in the hole. You can't use it for offensive purposes because of the MAD deterrent.
Much as we don't like it, we have to accept that most countries are going to want to have 5-6 of these things in reserve.

Good news: North Korea doesn't have a nuclear weapon yet
Bad news: North Korea just tested some huge-ass conventional weapon.

Let's just hope that whole StarWars thing is up and running.
I just think america should just put all it's resources into developing some type of colonization program and space transport thing and just leave this damn place before it becomes a real s^^thole. Just watch from some distant planet as the Earth explodes. Maybe go back when all the radiation cools off and battle the eight headed superhumanoid monsters.
Not to mention we wouldn't have to pay back our 7.5 trillion dollar debt.

I remember watching a show on the History Channel about North Korea and how if its current military growth continued, by 2020 it would be able to defeat the US Military.
Wouldn't that be a nut sucker...
