Why can't Lucas get it thru his thick head, we loved the original Star Wars just as it was. I don't understand why he thinks it's half done. He can't honestly say that he felt it was half-done because Han shot first. Everyone loved the special effects in 1977, he can't go updating it evertime there's a new revolution in special effects. It especially pisses me off that he holds our opinion to be of no value whatsoever.

This is a great point...I guess that he keeps wanting to "improve" it in his mine...but I am with you and really enjoyed the first and original one!

I'm shopping on eBay for the original DVD collection, and found what seemed like a good set, with 5 available http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=197&item=3840451179&rd=1

It's from the US and it had worldwide shipping, so I sent him an e-mail asking for the cost of shipping to Canada, and how good the codition of the disks are...

This is the reply he sent me:

Hi shipping to Canada is $8.00. When I sip to canada do not include the hard dvd cases. You can get them at any local retailer. What you do get is the three movies on dvd-r media plus a bonus material disc all with nice artwork printed onto the disc and the artwork that goes into a standard size dvd case. the discs are of the original films on the special editions that are being releast next week. the discs are new and checked for playability prior to shipping. All items are shipped via usps air 4-7 day mail, however due to Candian customs I have had orders take up to 7 weeks to reach their destinations, this is out of my hands. Thanks for looking. John

Woah, is this guy selling bootlegs?

This one looks even better, http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3840356803&category=197&sspagename=rvi:1:3 In one of the pictures he has the case open, showing Memorex DVDs

They never made the Trilogy into a DVD, they only released it on VHS, so all the Ebay DVDs you see are just home made DVDs using the VHS tapes as a source.

And will sound like crap since it is Pro Logic and not Digital 5.1.

I can't believe that anyone would buy boot legs of the star wars trilogy on ebay for $40 or more.. If you are really smart bootleg them yourself there are some nice video editing tools that can enhance the sound from prologic to a "5.1". Did someone say adobe premiere?

I'll pay somebody $25-30 to save me the trouble of trying to make my own dvd's with menus ect. Its not that much cash. I'd rather it go to the makers of the movie ect, but they don't want to release the originals, so I will get it where I can.

I just don't care enough to try to learn adobe premier or anything else just to make that one dvd. Not to mention how much Premier costs. And yes I beleive I should pay for software if I am using it.
