States Cup [ An RtCW Event ]

Topic: States Cup
Some of the guys around planet-rtcw.com have come together and organized a tournament that we think everyone will be interested in. It's called States Cup and is basically a State vs State (province vs province/State for you whacky Canadalanders) type of tournament. Currently there's over 245 players signed up!
However, we want more! We want everyone who still plays this great game to come out and have some fun with us. Head on over to http://www.teamburque.org/statescup/ and sign up! Be sure to have your guid handy. How do you get that? Well, just open RTCW and input /pb_myguid in your console. Take note of the last 8 digits of your PBGUID. This is all you will need to input into your profile.
Sign ups end next Tuesday, the 28th, so lets get to it. I know there's a lot of questions probably involved, so I'm including some links. The first is to the official news post on planet-rtcw.com about the event. The second is to the official unofficial forum thread on states cup. There you can ask all the questions about what, when, where, why, etc... Also included are links to all the dl's you will ever need if you want to play. No worries about waiting in long lines or seeing tons of pop-ups, just click and dl!

We really hope that you come out to play with us. It's going to be a lot of fun and even includes a finals that will feature the North American States Cup winner facing off vs the European States Cup winner! Rawr!

The whole purpose of this states cup is to help introduce OSP and competitive play to the shrub players.
And as far as your state not having enough, if needed...a player from the same region or a bordering state will join your team. Still undecided on the format of the tournament..etc.
