Tribes Vengeance

Anyone playing this ? Game just released . I am a diehard tribes player myself . I wonder if ECGN will host TV servers ? The new maps not the demo ones are nice and open lotsa skiing . Some are smaller but they all seem to have a way to suck you in to them .

Probably not, I picked up morrowwind and with 400+ more hours of gameplay to look forward to, I doubt I'll be buying TV

I thought it came out on the 12th?

If they make a mod that is identical to Tribes 2, then I might pick it up. Had the demo and was unimpressed. It seemed like a souped up version of UT2004. It was missing the elements that made T2 such a great game, most notably the deployables.

BTW Shard: Morrowind is awesome! The amout of detail in that game blew me away...you can play for months and still find out new things. You should check out some of the mods that people have made for it...some of them are pretty nice.

Trying to find all the deadric armor peices right now. I have the helmet and shield, I use steel armor at the moment, and I've gotten good at restorive magic, so I can heal myself rather than sleep and risk an assasin or wild animal sneaking up on me

My chracter looks awesome in his steel armor and expensive coat

I have also thought about getting this shield that costs like 30000 gold o_O Would have to save up a long time though, but it's armor rating and enchantments are whicked! It's called an "angelic shield" or something.

Yeah it hit shelves yesterday . As far as old t2 deployables and stuff. The new maps are awesome . Wide open like T2 the bases with the flags in them are built similar to T2 . I mean we all loved T2 but it's not T2 .As far as the servers there aren't too many I read somewhere you need the disk in to run the server . Already off to a bad start like T2 I guess they wouldn't have it any other way.

i cant even remeber what tribes game i played it was a few years ago. i always fixed things with my gun. if this is anything like that, i'm buying it.

Yea I was reading up on it.

You need to have the full game installed and the cd in the drive to run a server, idiots.

They said there should be a dedicated server out in a few days.

So I guess we'll test it in a few days!

Shouldn't have to buy anything to run the dedicated server

They should give the dedicated server files away for free, more servers = more people playing it because people find servers tey like and stick to it, and invite their friends to buy the game and cme to the server they frequent.
