bah... who needs trees or resources or living things or oxygen when you can go out and kill a few a-rabs

Trees are overrated and are bad for the environment. And what do you mean a few? Our military is damn good and they'll kill a lot!

Maybe this will help a little Tour. The fact is the majority of our public news orgainizations agree with you and can't fathom the fact that Bush won, despite their best efforts. Which news agency in Holland do you regularly listen to? That can go a long way in how your veiws of Bush and America in general are. IMO, the best source for news in the world is European, its The Economist, published in England. Good mag, with a very balanced look at every region of the globe.

I watch cnn, and try to look fair at both sides, and come up with my own opinion.
4 years ago America voted for Bush. Bush probably didn't diserve it, but ok. He was in the White House (at this moment I prefered Bush a the new president). Bush wasn't popular at all, untill 9-11. Bush became very popular ("the rest of the world can hear ya (..) and we will hunt them down", etc. blabla). He wetn to Afghanistan, and did a good job there. Nothing new so far.
After that the Americans went insane. They saw enemies everywhere. Went to Iraq for no good reason, and Bush was still really popular (ok, nothing new for now, I'll come to my point now). It was Michael Moore who opened the eyes of a few Americans. He showed us what the president did wrong, etc. Surprisingly a lot of people start thinking the war was wrong (read: illegal). Then elections came. On one hand you had Bush. The man who looks liek you can trust, supports the Americans in difficult times, Christian, against homoweedings, etc. On the other hadn you had Kerry. He promised us a lot of things, but was/is much less reliable than Bush ("voted against, voted for" etc. You've all seen it on tv). But Kerry is much smarter than Bush, knows the situation (don't say Bush don't, but he really screwed it up in Iraq with his illegal war) and wanted to involve other countries to solve the Iraq-problem + he's the right man for an economical boost, etc.
So it was a really tough choice. If I were an American, I wouldn't have vote at all ( I think).
But why did people actually vote for Bush?
Reasons: -taxes: ow yeah, that's a good reason to vote for Bush. As long as you have to pay less to the government, everything will go OK, and you'll be save.
-"you don't switch a coach during a match": hahahahaha. Good one. Don't need any words for that.
-And so on (don't want to turn this in a politcal thread too much. I just gave 2 examples why the choice for Bush is in my opinion not logical).

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm naïve. I'm just 17, but I'm smart. Maybe I don't understand the situation, because I am 'just an European', but that's how I see things.
Bush prooved the last 3 years that he is a true Republican:
no economical 'upgrades', people lost their jobs. America has found itself another useless war, and people have lost there lifes. But oke: "we trust him". Don't we?

CNN rather anti Bush and pro-Democrat party. I think it might be skewed. What other English sources do you get? Gurdian paper out of England is anti Bush- Reuteirs seems to be also. Der Spiegel is not a fan either I dont know about any Dutch paper or news source. Do you watch BBC another kinda anti Bush. I am guess that you are trying to weigh the infomation that you get from any of them with everything else. Good luck. Keep asking for politial decision on this forum and you can see that we are all experts on the subject. Certainly I know more that the rest put together and I will tell you how to think. So just blow off all the other jag offs- they do not know any better lol:P

haha, I know cnn is kinda anti-bush, but fox is pro-bush, so that will make things even.
I doubt it that BBC is anti-Bush. Blair wouldn't be really happy with that.
But I know what you are trying to do VlfPlyer ;)
And I can be really simple in that: I am, in no way, and will never be, influenced by the media or in some other way.
What I saw during those 3 debats was very clearly:
Bush had no idea what he was talking about. If it's really true about that story with the thing in his neck (but it's more likely to be a good bedtime story to me), it really shows how smart and reliable he is.
I believe that Kerry could have been a better president. History shows that the best 3 presidents of America in an economical way were Democrats, and the worst 3 were Republicans. Guess who's in it.
But like I said before. Maybe Kerry would've sucked even more than Bush. Who knows?
Well, I think I said enough for now. I'll shut up :P

If anyone is anti Bush, they have good reason to be. Hence, the last couple of years. Anyways I will end on that note because I don't want to start a political argument or anything to that effect.:P
