Love my Patriots, but man those Steelers are playing Superbowl winning football!

Steelers look good, knocking off the Pats and Philly back-to-back...but I remain skeptical.

The Steelers talk too much trash...

They play great smash-mouth football. They tell you they're going to run the ball and they do. The defense is smothering. Everythings working right for them. This team has a lot of post-season potential if they can keep this up. :)

their games left to go should be cake

Kind of like T.O and everyone else in the NFL, right?

I hate to say it, but I don't how the Pat's are going to make it with all these injuries. Troy Brown and some special teams player (a linebacker) were forced to play nickelback and safety. Granted, it was funny as hell to watch them pull it off, especially in the same game where Adam Vintierri threw a touchdown and Mike Vrabel ( a linebacker) caught a touchdown. All this confused the hell out the Rams, but a prepared team is going to take us to outhouse with a lineup like that.
Still, I admire their guts.

i agree very much so cavalier....i assumed we would be blown out..playing on turf and trying to defend bruce and holt....my stomach was in knots when i saw samuel heading to the lockeroom...I knew we would be playing all rookies..with the exception of harrison and wilson....Does this mean we have good depth or that mike martz sucks?.... Id take the latter of the two. When you throw the ball deep...you have to take into account that your o-line has to block a couple of seconds longer. Why didnt he throw short slants..or out patterns for bruce and holt...martz shouldnt be a head coach and i always love to see his cocky ass get whooped. I still believe having dillion in the pittsburgh game wouldve made a world of a difference...Steelers dominated b/c new england had no running back..therefore the time of possession was like 3to1 and NO defense in the nfl can survive that. six rushing attempts i believe tied the nfl record. Id love to see the steelers when healthy in the playoffs, it just might be a different outcome...however you cant ignore the beating they gave to the healthy eagles...banged up westbrook(but he still played). Pennington out 2-4 weeks...what does that mean for the J-E-T-S jets jets jets? dave wann...who cares what his name is..finally resigned...dolphins are absolutely horrible....even there defense is showing signs of fatigue...they can't keep the team close in every game of the season.

Dillon might have helped, but the Steelers front line was dominating the Pats O-line all game...I don't doubt he would have been more effective than Faulk, but I think the Steelers dominance everywhere else would have been too much...esp. once Law got hurt.

One of the most impressive things about the Eagles game was the fact that even without Staley in the lineup, the Steelers running game was as strong as ever. Big Ben has amazing field vision, and the running game gives him room to find the open recievers. The screen play in the second half of the Philly game was textbook perfect...everythings going right for Pittsburgh right now :) :)

Oh, and I agree...the Rams should have been able to kill the Pats in that situation, with all thier wideouts and the decimated secondary for NE. Martz is an arrogant fool who refuses to change his gameplan for anything...I'd be very upset if I were a Rams fan...that was a badly missed opportunity.

What's hilarious about Martz is that Belichick (praised be His name!) totally has gotten into his head. Martz blew the superbowl by not running enough, then decided he would show the world he would run all over the Pats---even though the situation dictated that the Rams should do exactly what HitnRunz said: throw a bunch of quick slants and just tear the Pats up. That's the genius of Belichick (Praised be His name!)---he gets coaches to play against the last gameplan.
An all healthy squad game vs the Steelers will be interesting, I'm not making any predictions. The thing that's great about the way the Steelers are playing is it's complete football, the total package, all three phases, etc. It's better to be solid at all three phases of the game then to be spectacular at one. Their rookie quarterback is excellent, but he's not the only reason they're winning. Solid fundamental football my friends, in this salary cap era, is what will win championships.

Whats winning their games is their defense. Of course it doesnt hurt to have a rookie quarterback who is undefeated. that rothelinn....berger is pretty good.
