Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

This is the first time I have been able to say this...but....

Anyway, I am playing on Test 17, let's all try to connect to the same server, so that we can level fast. Especially those of you who haven't downloaded it yet, we can all start it from level 1. I have it downloaded, and have been playing a lot, but I am going to restart, because my girlfriend hasn't downloaded yet, and she wanted to play together from the start.

I have a couple characters on test server 26 I think. Lets all see if we can jump n the same server.

Amazing, the sigs just keep growing and growing. Now I have noticed at least three people with sigs taking up the entire screen.
Are there really no more limits to how big a signature can be?

They didn't.
I'm on Server 13 with a few guys as Horde. You can find our TS @ 204.157.7.145.. its a bit different than what you'd expect.. our default channel is called "Welcome to the Gay Rainbow".. but trust me, its a great group of guys.
As for the guys hoping to join who don't have a key, unfortunelly, the Open Beta is full. Hundreds of thousands of people signed up, and are filling the servers to the limit. They should have some more spots soon, so keep your eye on the site.
And like most others said, it is extremely worth it. This game is just awesome, and I can completely justify the price!

Shard - you get a response on this one?
As a business owner myself, I find it hard to believe that Mmmgood wouldn't promote something like WoW that uses such a similar business model.
I mean c'mon, you guys have built a community here that I find so enjoyable that, without any personal compensation, I promote it to fellow gamers that I run into.
This place really ROCKS!

Well its a little bit different, you HAVE to pay for WoW whereas a lot of the games we rent have a single player aspect or you can play online for free on someone elses server.
Dont get me wrong, I used to play EQ. I had a level 26 high elf paladin. I enjoyed the game but it got to the point where it became more work than fun to get levels ( as someone pointed out in another thread ) and I gradually stopped playing. Then I couldnt justify the cost when I only played an hour or two every few weeks.

Wow. Lots of people don't seem to like pay-for-play. Me neither. Check out Guild Wars (
http://www.guildwars.com). Really good game, and no monthly pay-to-play fee. It's in development by ArenaNet (ex-Blizzard employees) and being published by NCSOFT (Lineage I & II). Release date is scheduled for February 2005, and I'm doing closed Beta for it right now.

Yeah, I'm not much for pay-to-play games myself. I understand that they want to help cover the cost of running the servers and such, but I just can't bring myself to spent $30-$50 on a game and then anywhere from $60 to $180 a year for a subscription.
The Guild Wars game looks pretty promising though. I might buy it if they offer a free demo to let me try it out and see if I like it.

Keep an eye on the electronic gaming monthly magazines.
Also, if you pre-order the game (basically, go to Best Buy, Gamestop.com or EBGames) and pre-order the game, you;re entitled to free weekends of play (first weekend of everyo month) until release. Generally, the pre-order is cheap (I saw it for 1 cent at EBGames). If you don;t like it, just re-sell the pre-order on ebay or whatever....
