It is so funny how crazy Canadians are going over Bush's visit. It is live tv news here and they are covering his motorcade live on national news. Security is wild here in Ottawa right now and everyone is literally going BUSH CRAZY. Love him or hate him, everyone wants to see him.

I think that it is pretty funny actually....

I'm going to Ottawa next week. I tried to move it to this week but couldn't. I wanted to go demonstrating and possibly throw a rock or two.

Tue Nov 30, 2004 12:36 pm

the title of this thread is misleading :P

yeah read about it on cnn....enjoy :D

Tue Nov 30, 2004 12:39 pm

whst is funny is that it is THE big story here in Canada (at least in Ottawa) and I am sure that most Americans don't know or care that he is here.

Did you know that Canada and the US trade over $1 BILLION between the two countries EACH DAY?

Tue Nov 30, 2004 4:28 pm

Nope, but my piggy american instinct is to eat mre food and watch more TV.

I've been eating less, but I read or heard somewhere that many foods and drugs here in America arn't allowed in other countries because they put things into them to make you hungier, fatter and addicted to the food.

Don't know if it's true or not. But I beleave it (70% of americans are overweight 40% obese)

The FDA says that only a drug can cure a deisese so now that overweight is a desieise only a drug can cure it, so according to the FDA exersize and eating less doesn't work anymore.

o_O

Again, I read/heard it somewhere, I don't know from where.

But yeah, I didn't even know Bush was going to canada.

And I bet half of that 1billion dollars is beer money. :P

Tue Nov 30, 2004 4:33 pm

Sheesh.... i LIVE in Canada and I didn't find that out until today. Ewwww... get him out, get him out! Just kidding..... hehe... I think we're generally more of a Clinton-favoring country anyway (to say that as safely as possible). ;)

Tommy you're in Ottawa? Im about an hour south of T.O.

Ohhhhhh, Canada.:D

Tue Nov 30, 2004 4:44 pm

Yeah, that title is misleading. I was thinking of something else ...

Listen Fellas. Before you start with your country suck or our's does. Sit back a minute and think what Canada would be without US and what US would be without Canada. We are neighbors. We have things you need and they have things that we need. So if Bush and Martin are going to get in between our two beautiful countries. Well! You guy's need to forget what you read and just stop the labeling of each other. Besides I don't want to find another place to live just because my neighbors are not nice. :)

One more thing. If Buch brings back the draft you guy's will get a bunch of American youths coming to live in your country. You better be careful. :rotflmao:

Oh im sure canadians like america itself, they just seem to hate bush (just like every other nation on earth)

Tue Nov 30, 2004 7:36 pm

there have been some protests, but overall he has had a great reception from everyone!

Tue Nov 30, 2004 7:41 pm

I wonder if our PM came to the States, would he be greeted and spoken about the same way?

Doubtful I bet. Afterall, it's the truth that not many Americans know who our PM is... :(
