Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

This kinda sucks, I love Discovery Wings. 80% of it is already military related shows (usually WWII stuff) which is fine, but there are some non military shows that I liked and hoped to see more of, like 'A Plane is Born" 'From the Ground Up' and 'Learning to Fly' for example.

Meh, I doubt it can compete with the History channel.

I don't see how it won't waste it's time overlapping with the History channel. It had a good little niche with being Discovery Wings.

No, the history channel is a seperate entity.

I was happy to hear it was becoming the war channel. It seems to be because of the History Channel launching History International, which is mostly Military shows. They will have Wingspan Tuesday, or Thursday, so you still get "from the ground up" and all the other private pilot programing. I don't see how they can do better then Mail Call or Tactical to Practical, but its good to know they will be trying.

What is 'Wingspan'? is that going to be on Discovery Military or something else?
As it is now, I wish Discovery Wings would have made follow up shows to A Plane is Born, A Chopper is Born, and Learning to Fly. I would love to see show devoted to GAA Pilots (or anyone else) learning to become Airline Pilots.
BTW, did anyone see Junkyard Wars special double-length episode when they had three teams competing to make a simple historical-based airplane? Sweet, made me want to go into my backyard and make a new fangled flyin' machine !

Its going to be on Discovery Military, It will be one night a week of all the Discovery Wings programs. I assume it won't have Wings At War and other War Based Plane programs, so you still get a chance to watch "From the ground up" and "learning to fly".

Cool, I may have to set my VCR for it, but beggars can't be choosers.
