Didn't some of the members of Pantera actually own a gentlemen's club in the DFW area (around Arlington). My older brother used to tell me about hanging with 'em.

yea....they lived about 10 minutes away from my house in arlington. They own the titty bar called Clubhouse in Dallas. Sad to see him go. I remember when the Dallas stars won the stanley cup and pantera held a party at their house for the whole team. I believe it was in the newspaper, but there was a picture of one of the Stars riding the stanley cup in the pool. RIP Dimebag.....

A big salute to those who rushed to Dimes aid, all the while staring at a gun, and to the officer who, no dought, saved lives. what a waste

Word savant, Big ups to the cop that took that fuck down. He shot Dime 5 times in the head....where was security before he got on the stage? I thought pat downs were mandatory prior to getting in shows, they are here...

Where does the issue of gun control come into play? This use was hardly a "defensive" reason to brandish a hand gun.

For fucks sake it will probably cost a fortune to go see shows because of up-ed security...

Of course, its not handguns that kill people, its stupid mother-fuckers with handguns that kill people!

One of our local news stations here in minneapolis reported that the guy just walked on stage from the back like he knew what was going on. No one stopped him back stage, he acted like he belonged back there.

It boggles my mind how you can get backstage with a freakin gun at a show.

This is part of a Metal Hammer December 2004 interview with Phil I pulled off of blistering.com:

"I think, more or less, it lies between Dimebag and I. There was never a point when he could not get drunk. Which was pretty much every day. And now I'm hearing it's worse than ever.

"He would attack me, vocally. And just knowing that he was so much smaller than me I could kill him like a fuckin' piece of vapor, you know, he would turn into vapour — his chin would, at least, if I fuckin' smacked it. And he knows that. The world should know that. So physically, of course, he deserves to be beaten severely."

So I was wrong when I qouted yesterday that he called for someone to f--- Dimebag up. Sorry about that.

Sounds like a bright thing to do... give your fucking looney son a gun... i think the killer's mother should be put on trial for the crimes of her son...
