Make a rescue disk and try it out. Make sure to delete all your partitions while you're at it. :)

I wish like hell Steve Jobs would take that last step and release OS X for an Intel based platform using a limited subset of components, ie a specific MB, Vid Card, Sound Card, etc. Maybe special bios so only the Apply branded MB would run OS X, but would still also run Windows XP. The ultimate taste test: Apple could sell them preloaded with both. Take away that 'Either/Or' choice that locks you into one format, I just know millions of people would go for it. Well, to be truthful, I know I would go for it :)

I think, unfortunately, Apple has a bad reputation among Windows users. I looked at it as a joke for years (and OS 8 and 9 were justifiably worthy of ridicule) but OS X changes all that.

I've been recommending Macs to my more well-heeled clients and they're loving it. They get style, function and a shelter from the Spyware,/Hijacking/Virus of the Minute madness that is Windows.

I still think I can get more done, and faster, with a Windows machine but for the masses I think this is Apple's opportunity to tear a chunk of flesh from Microsoft's lumpy ass.

now is the time to do it, Microsoft is at their weakest legally, they couldn't fight back full force with all these anti-trust suits still up in the air.
