Anyone from Vancouver?

Postby Bossman » Fri Dec 31, 2004 1:42 am

Just wondering if anyone here is from Vancouver. I have a work trip there next week and was looking for recommendations on places to see or even better eat and drink. TIA!

I am not from there, but know the city well. Go downtown, but watch out for East Hastings...

Definately go to Gastown and then check out Grenville Island. You will love Vancouver, it is awesome...

If you need more help, just let me know.

Have a safe trip and great time!

Tommy's cousin is a roadie for nickleback, just go downtown and say "Hey! I'm looking for nickleback...."

Besides everything you want to know about a canadian city you can find in the movie "Canadian Bacon" :rotflmao:

nice you smackers....:)

Gastown is a district and Grenville Island is in the city, but a small little island with great shops, restaurants and pubs...very close to downtown.

Depending on what hotel you are staying at, you should be pretty close to everythins, unless you are in Burnaby or something...

Most people in Vancouver are pretty friendly so you should have no problem getting good advice as to where to visit, eat, etc...

Have a great time...let us know how you made out when you return!

Thanks again! I'm staying at the Sheraton but I have no idea where it is in relation to the places you mentioned. I'll definitely make the time to check those places out.
