Make sure to bring lots of med packs, our 64 player beach server is intense!

Is it me or have airstrikes really gotten way...way out hand. Im guilty as the next person , but jesus man the beach just isnt fun anymore. Let me give you an example:
Ok I spawn as my lovely self , right off the bat some noob fires a panzer in the doorway (which means our 4 seconds of invunarability is shot) and I become hamburger or get a real scenic view of the action 20 stories up.
Ok now lets say Mr Wolfplayer isnt blocking the doorway, then its the dreadfull Saigon B-52 style guantlet run up the stairs or ladder ......aint gonna happen .
SO lets say I get by the bunker , the outside stairs and up the inside stairs to the top level and WHHHAMMMOO ON THE 1ST STAIR LANDING , ( I was always under the assumption 3ft of concrete was somewhat protective) .
So for heavens sake let say I get lucky with no noob blocker , survive the carpet bomb convention of 2003 , and make myself up the " protective" concrete bunker stairs and then Im happily greeted with the classic above the door airstrike that takes out the last bit of patience I have.
My complaint is the game is a great showcase of meaningless talent that I and many here have. However when some noob who figures out that sitting on top of the axis breakfast table launching air attacks unceromoniuosly above the door , gets 80 kills a round , when the real virtual grunts like me make our names proud by slinging lead and having balls the size of basketballs gets nothing but flat out pissed.
They say this game although virtual is very respective of war and really shows how fuckin unbelievable itcan be , if that is the case where tactics here are basicly similiar to respects in real life , then why is it honor isnt present either.
I find no honor in the untalented A-hole who calls for death from above every 20 seconds and couldnt kill a toliet if he wanted to , I have sollace in the fact that some on this board , talented and full of honor so great that if real war ever came my way , I would be proud to share fox holes with any of them. That would be my honor.
So , maybe elimiting airstrikes until after the wall is blown, might be a good way of seperating the one's with honor and talent and those who are just a waste of bandwith.

its been said many times be-4 and I do mean many.......revenge is sweet when your on axis......ps best thing to do instead of complaining spawn all the time out by the boats its that simple

Thanks for the advise , I can see your point on how spawning from the beach will save my ass when I get killed on the first stair landing in a concrete bunker.

( Incredible unbelievable Earth shattering sarcasm ),

I agree, Osprey. It becomes a vicious cycle when allies get the bejesus bombed out of them, then when they become axis..... well what the hell you think is next??? FIRE IN THE HOLE!!! That's what. This is why I am gaining more and more appreciation for friendly fire on. It really cuts down on air strikes. I can also see the dilemma of having friendly fire on at a 64 player server....., it just aint happenin'. Guess we'll just have to put up with it.

The air strikes and artillary make it a blast, though it does get a little old dying time after time without getting off a shot. War or a simulation of, is hell.

My favorite is being hit by A/S 5 times in the exact same place
I found the best thing for A/S hell is spawning on the beach -- it may take you a few seconds longer to get to the stairs, but there's usually a lot less grief.
Plus, A/S hell ususally subsides once the allies get a good push on the upper base, since most of the axis scurry to the war room. Incidentally, this is usually a good time to run to take the front bunker back

PAYBACK IS THE TRUE JUSTICE FOR AIRSTIKES ON ALLIES, YOU BECOME THE HUNTER RATHER THAN THE PREY

I beg to differ.. if your ALLY you can still airstrike with effciancy if you do it right.. I don't get as many kills as I would on Axis but I do get at least half and all to the same effect really. You just have to know where to throw mmkay. Ya it sucks if you take the trenches but if you go around , you dont get the bejesus bombed out of your ass and if your carefull enough you can make it to back stairs. Not saying its a caekwalk but its better then spawn, boom dead , spawn boom dead.. fun isnt it ?

Try to time where people will be, and try to catch them 1) in a crowd 2) at a point where they'll be vulnerable in the 6 or so seconds it takes to call an air strike, and you're gold. I usually have good results tossing the canister up on top of the net next to the stairs (the one the axis usually stand on to fire on the stairs) and get a few people depending on which trajectory the air strike comes in at.
Speaking of which, is there a pattern to which angle the A/S comes in at, or is it random?

You don't know, and your giving airstrike strategy?:help:
The direction of the airstrike is perpendicular to the direction of the cannister throw.

I don't know scientifically, I don't play LT very often -- but when I do, I manage OK for myself

Wholy Guacamole!!!
Well said, Osprey!!!
I've posted on this topic before, but still there's nothing done about it.
4 seconds isn't enough with doorblockers and all.

would you like a way to limit the # of airstrikes/artillery per team per round?
or the invulnerability time after respawn?
just some techniques to make pub servers less frustrating.
