Postby Colonel Ingus » Thu Jan 20, 2005 5:06 pm

Apparently Michael Moore IS a pretentious asshole who says do what I say not what I do.

So he lets a trained professional hired to protect him from the lunitcs that made numerous death threats, carry a gun. So what? It doesn't make him a hypocrite in my book...

Anyway isn't this politics? :)

HA HA, that's great Ingus!! Michael Moore.. what an ass!

Ingus's point is that Moore, while being incredibly liberal (and we all know thier stance on gun control, etc) has his bodyguard arrested for something that he is totally against.

what a :tard:

Besides the fact the an unlicensed gun in state of NY carries a 1 yrs prison term, 99.9% of the time anyone with the means to litigate the charge just get a fine and probation,

the rest? =fuel for liberal politics

i could see the importance of this story if it were Moore carrying one, but it's his bodyguard.

i swear, the "who gives a shit" stories are all over the media these days.

So his bodyguard is a moron who can't read a license. Says nothing about Moore.

I didn't think a person needed a license to carry in every state they visit, I thought states adopted a persons 'home state status' in regards to gun licenses. It's a good thing I never put this thought to the test.

ah, I just looked it up, it's called Reciprocity, same states do it, some don't. NY doesn't recognize any other states issued permits, but about 8 states recognize NY issued permits.

Would it be to difficult to just issue licenses nationally. Why make the extra work of doing them state by state?

Going back to colnial times, the right to "bare arms" was considered very important. Of course, any right that was important back then was controlled at the state level. So it is really the fault of the "motherland across the pond".
