Is this true?

Is this true?

Postby Tommy Boy » Wed Jan 26, 2005 7:46 pm

Ok, I admit that I have not tested this yet, but today I heard something that seems to make sense, yet I am skeptical.

If you lock your keys in your car, and your car has the remote entry, APPARENTLY if you call home on a cellular phone, and someone at the other end has a spare remote fob, if they point the fob at the telephone, and you hold your cellular phone 6-8 inches away from your car, it will unlock!

What do you think? Does this seem possible? Who wants to try it and let us know?

The person who told me this today said that most AAA and CAA people don't want you to know this, same for roadside assistance companies, but he swears that this works!

I'd be very surprised if the remote used sound frequencies. Especially frequencies within the operating range of a phone.
