A lot of copy protected cds are actually prohibited from using the name cd. If you look at them they don't actually say cd but instead say 'will not play on pc and mac'. If you take those discs and inadvertantly put them into some computers such as the new imac (if you haven't seen the lable because you had no idea such discs existed like my friend) the disc will not only not play but will also not be registered and will stick in the cd drive making it impossible to open. How is that reasonable that a product bought and paid for will, unless you know how to manually open the cd drive, make your cd drive inoperable?
I play most of my music through my computer. If the cd is one of those 'will not play on pc or mac' protected 'cd's' I will not buy it so they lose a sale. When I buy a cd I expect it to be able to play on whatever cd player I chose to play it on, not on what they decide I should play it on...

Ive said it b4, and I say once more, ALL entertainment smacktards need to have a SERIOUS decrease in the millions they make for entertaining. I would rather see an increase in minimum wage, than an increase in some tard's millions that they whine about making anyway, cause they think they need more and more and more.
The companies who make money off of these entertainers, such as record companies, make too much as well. If it keeps getting worse and worse, and they get more and more, then minimum wage workers might as well be slaves, or inmates, if u classify peep by how much money they are able to make with the jobs provided.
Only peep who live in some fake arss pop, commercialized, wacked reality would think that entertainers should be treated like royalty cause they can act, ball, or look a certain way. All jobs are important, well, most, and entertainers arent the most beneficial to the good of society, if anything, they lull idiots to sleep with thoughts of settling for mediocrity.
If the average joe wants to buy a few cd's or dvd's, each week, they could easily make a car, rent payment with the money they spent on movies, music. If ya think that that is a fair price, considering a lot of peep dont make but $300-500 a week, then u r obviously already brainwashed by a materialistic society, and are unable to see the truth.

Same with downloaded music - it doesn't impact the sales of CD's.
BS. As the owner of Kronos Recording (http://www.kronosrecording.com), it does affect my income.
Buy CD's people, before it is too late. There are only like 2 real record companies out there.

Dude, I agree 1000% !! I bought Velvet Revolver and was so pissed I could not play the damn thing in my computer. I also use my computer to listen to all music when I am not in my car. I paid for the stupid CD, I should be able to listen to it anywhere I want!

IMHO cd's are going to be dead in 10 years anyway. As more and more mp3 players filter into everyone's homes, cars, and portables why should we keep spending money on something that wears out?

The only thing that sucks about that is mp3 format sounds inferior to regular CD quality format (I think it is WAV?)
If you listen to them side by side (which I have done on my computer), switching back and forth, there is a big difference.
IMO
