Why would you want to do anything like that?

Fri Mar 25, 2005 3:32 pm

Uhh.

ME is no longer supported, as it was buggier than Windows 98 and 95. XP is MUCH more stable than ME ever could have been. If you don't have catastrophic problems with ME, that would be a first.

well those pics arent from the Longhorn Transformation pack, they are from the actual beta....

and i doubt you'll ever see anything for any win9x/ME as far as visual themes go...

Mon Mar 28, 2005 12:52 am

Mon Mar 28, 2005 1:06 am

its supposed to come out 2006

and its supposed to be called, ingeniously *drumroll*

Microsoft Windows 2006

Mon Mar 28, 2005 1:21 am

I don't know it they are still planning it, but at one point M$ was cooperating with media distributors and MB/CPU makers to build in a hardware/software solution to digital rights management.
No more CD ripping, no more swapping, no more anything. Also, at the time they were pushing the concept of micropayments as well, so you can imagine the nightmare the whole thing would be if it ever came to fruition.
CD would probably only cost $5, but then it would cost 10 cents everytime you wanted to listen to a song.
It sounds silly, but remember these are some the same a**holes that tried to push DIVX (the video player/rental scheme, not the codec)
