ok, you caught my interest with this statement. The vast majority of people lose money during a downswing in the market. To make money, you would have had to hold a short position on some stock or index. Also, to really "make" money, you would have had to make a transaction or exercise an option. Care to divulge any of the details?

Also, I would think that the main demographic of posters on these forums are the young adult\college crowd, correct? How much money do you think they had tied up in the market?
