Whatever happened to FPS Central?

The site had such a huge community and everything seemed to be going so well, but now the site doesn't exist anymore? What happnened?:confused:

Last thing I heard was this.

As usual, it's hard to tell what Summit was actually saying.

So Summit bought out one of the most dedicated BFsites (bf42.com), turned it into FPScentral (which was a decent site with a HUGE forum community) and abruptly closses down the site?

Yes but I seem to remember the forums were not part of the deal. Anyway they continued for a while at FPSCentral. Now they're gone and Ampednews has a pitiful BF1942 forum stub.

Oh and wasn't there a big row because Summit had been double-crossed by the AmpedNews owners?
