Correction, my 9700Pro plays it at max anyways.Originally posted by shockwave203
The 7800 is pretty much useless at present time. Why spend so much money on one of them when a 6800 ultra/Radeon X850 play games at max settings anyway? Only the hardcore gamers who MUST milk every FPS out of their CPU will be the ones buying it right now. I suppose if you want to show off 3dmark benchmark results you'll want this card as well.
ATI will be releasing their next gen video card, R520, in late summer. That too, will be a waste to upgrade

He doesn't have to think about upgrading his videocards (or anything else) for a long time. We're talking 3-4 years.
It's a question of money vs convenience. I just picked up a 6800GT, next year, I'll probably have to add another one to make an SLI pair. Within 2 years I'll be thinking about upgrading.

Its retarded that BF2 requeres in ATI cards to be 8200 and up...But it excludes the 9200...and guess what I have...
I think ill save my 200 dollars on buying a ps3 or xbox 360 rather than buying a new vid card just for one game...
Oh well ps3 will be cool because it runs multiplayer games and its free not like xbox
