High quality journalism!

Did these guys attend any sort of school for Journalism? The level of journalism in the US just sinks lower and lower. These guys can't be bothered to actually report news anymore, they're too busy having exchanges of 'Yo Mama jokes' and calling it debate. They've abandoned the crucial need for reporting in exchange for entertainment and ratings. CBS,NBC,ABC,CNN,Fox,MSNBC...all equally worthless at this point. Every week these clowns piss me off and make me sad at the same time. We get our news from people who are intellectual and emotional equivalents of 16 year old kids.
I pray someone will form a new cable news organization that is just dedicated to reporting the news, to the best of it's abilities. Each day just says "what are truly the 20 biggest news events todad, worldwide" and just goes from there. No Michael Jackson blow by blow, no Scott and Lacey Peterson, Terri Schialvo, no bullshit slapfest 'debates', no endless stream of 'experts' --which means any asshole off the street looking to pump up sales of his/her new book.

We can get a bunch of experts on Dad VS Dad violence, get a slick graphic made up, a fancy set, maybe a catchy slogan! "Dads who fight Dads, and the gamers who love them"

If we get Paris then becomes a pay-per-view event, adults only!

Check this out, an Arab American wrestler from the WWE Muhammad Hassan responds to the negative press. Just watch how intelligent the audience here is, and them compare it to what the news media is like. Its all messed up.http://www.wwe.com/common/mediapreferences/?return=/content/media/video/494698/776716/hassanresponds

Don't mean to derail your thread, but this might be some ammunition.

NPR and BBC are pretty decent. CNN used to be good, after the first Gulf War they went to hell. There are some good journalists out there. Thomas Friedman does great work. For some comedy/news hybrid, the 'Headlines' portion of John Stewart's The Daily Show is good way to catch up on whatever our government is up to today. NPR does a great job with their correspondents giving the big picture and getting down to the street level and talking to average people, whether in the US, Iraq, wherever.

"Professional" wrestler spouting political rhetoric? That slays me.

I enjoy listening to NPR, but if you think it isn't as skewed as FoxNews or CNN or NBC or any other major news source, then you've got a lot to learn. Every media outlet has an agenda (aside from broadcasting events to the public and creating revenue for their governing persons), some more obvious than others.
