Hotel Rudely Awakes Me in Atlantic City.

Ok so i was in Atlantic City, New Jersey for the past four days, and on monday my parents went out at about 9am, and i decided to sleep in till about noon. All over a sudden i hear extremely loud noises that sound like an earthquake and i nearly fell out of bed to see what was going on. I look outside and i see nothing so i lay back down and try to fall back asleep, when i hear it again, this time i was actually getting worried because i was already awake and i had no idea what was going on. I get up and look out the window again and hear comes an F-15 Eagle flying laps around my hotel (Tropicana) and the Trump Hotel some 20 blocks down the street. I was near the top of my hotel which was one of hte highest in Atlantic City so the noise hitting the building shook my whole floor. Heres two pictures, one of the view from my Hotel Room window, and one of the F-15 from my hotel room. Following that i ate at the Hooters which was conviently located at the bottom of our hotel, and F-18 Thunderbirds were flying in quads aroudn our hotel and the Trump again. Quite an intresting day.

The next day (today) i find there is a Air show taking place on the beach, had A-10s, F-15s, F4 Phantoms, Orion Jets, and a few other planes. We also saw the plane in Battlefield 2..or one similar to it, the F-35B and they had the pilot fly the plane backwards above the beach to show everyone the hover ability.

I was just flying around the hotels...not lower then top of the building obviously but it wasn't that high.

The sound of jet engines flying around like that is amazing. They held an airshow near my school one year and I sat outside watching the fighter jets go through their routines. They were probably two miles away, but when they accelerated those engines a bit, I could feel it in my chest, that powerful vibration.

Heheh... I live near an air reserve base and my school is near the busiest airport in America. I find the sound of jet engines comforting.

I was on the beach today for the actual Air Show and the F-15 was the only one that flew over from behind us originally, and it flew directly over top of me, by the time the sound caught up it was extremely loud. I love hte sound of it though, it was pretty cool, they had the pilot talking over the intercom system so we could here him from the cockpit.
